Blotter paper helps a lot with the FP ink issue. You just put it between the pages. NanamiPaper sells blotter paper in A5. You can stick one in the Avec and one in the Stalogy. You don’t need the roller things they sell. Just keep the page in your notebook and move it to the page you need. Absorbs any excess in seconds. I find some inks dry faster too. I like using platinum Carbon Black. It’s true black and dries fast. I don’t mind the ghosting bc once you write on the other side you don’t notice it. It’s such awesome paper.

@@DiaMeraz I agree with Just Scribble. I use the blotting paper from Nanami and actually put a 'Today' tab on it so I always know where my current day is quickly.

FYI I use washi to cover the ugly colors of the post-it tabs. Love how you use your Hobonichi. It is tempting to use a Cousin. I’ve been devoted to the A6 for many years.

I do the exact same thing when I get a new planner mid year. I always go back and “back plan” to see what style I like! And I love how you blur the text in video!

(Stephen’s wife is commenting!😂) I have ordered my very first Hobonichi Cousin and Weeks, and kept looking for a stream-lined example of layouts to follow. I’m not a decorative-sticker kind of person. I’m really boring! Lol! So seeing your layouts neat made me actually finish watching your video! Thank you! I think the stickers and drawings are awesome, but I need something that is quick, efficient, and to the point-that I will maintain consistently.

I'm happy my video helped! I wish I could be as creative as some of these other planner gals, but I need a streamlined system as well. I'm not in the Hobo Cousin anymore, but I still keep my planning pretty basic 🤗

Thank you for this video ... I have an Avec I am starting in July and excited to be back in it. Also JetPens sells a Midori MD clear cover and it fits perfectly on the Avec size

For the smearing issue, I bought some blotter paper, and I use that in any notebook I use fountain pens in often, even a Leuchtturm, just in case. You can also get a little blotter that you rock along one section, but I don’t always pull mine out. Goulet Pens sells packs of it - I think it’s $10 for 10 sheets, but amazon probably has it too :)

Love the video Dia. A sheet of blotting paper will prevent accidental ink smudges. You can buy those ribbon bookmarks to add to your journal. I’ve seen them in the Muji store. Looking forward to seeing your new cover when it arrives.

I was going to suggest the blotting paper! I have a couple of half sheets of printer paper tucked away in the hobo just for the purpose of soaking up the ink that would normally smear.

Love it! You might also want to consider the A5 clear cover from Midori to use inside your sojourner ~ cheap on Amazon and you can slide a piece of paper under for decoration I also love the Hobonichi pen, no smearing

Hi, I have been using techo for some time. For me, the most pain is actually have nothing to write/draw on it. LOL TLDR for the 2 paragraph under here: this paper is great The paper is formally recognized as tomoe river paper, which is pretty much THE best paper in terms of thin paper. I remember it is 54gsm, in contrast to 70-80 gsm for average printing paper. The difference seems small but makes a great difference! I don't actually like the thickness of it. However, I like the feel of writing so much that I would believe it to be the best paper for fountain pens. Also, it is actually unbeliablely hard to bleed though it (of course, if you try hard, you can) because that it have a plastic-ish coating on it. That also makes it a pain to wait for the ink to dry BTW. The amazing thing is, ghosting on it is a different thing than ghosting on other paper. Ghosting is mostly caused by ink half-bleeding though the page. However, for this paper, it is simplely because the paper is so thin that you are simply looking though it. It impressed me so much when I just tried a marker on it and it was able to handle a marker without bleeding though.

Just to mention for UK people. When ordering from 1101.com there will be a small 'import tax' to pay, I paid £3. But the courier also charged me an extra £12 for collecting the tax! I paid a total of £32 on top of the cost of the items I bought.

If you are in a hurry, get you a rolling blotter. You put a piece of blotter paper in the round part to absorb any excess ink from your fountain pen. Not sure what a rolling blotter is? Google rolling blotter images and you'll remember seeing them use it in old movies with quill pens. It took me a while to find one, but I had a sanding block that was the same shape so I used that for a while, before I got a fancy one. ❤🌅🌵

I b was trying to compare your daily to your weekly. It looks like the weekly and daily pages have some redundancy? I love using my planner so that doesn’t bother me at all but I’m working on my system.
@DiaMeraz5 жыл бұрын
Yes actually :-) I start with my monthly and then every Sunday I go over the week and put in any appointments. I like to track the things I do throughout the daydream too, and how long they take me to do. I do my best to plan and stay on task. So it helps to reflect on this area when all of a sudden I don’t have time for things. It can be an eye opener...especially when there are too many NAP times :-) Then, either the night before, or first thing in the morning, I review my day. Being a wedding photographer, I don’t want to forget a thing, so I like to make sure I’m reviewing my schedule often! Hope this helps! Good luck to you with your system!
