I've been watching a few videos about this camera tonight and yours was by far the best by a huge margin in fact! Your video totally sold me on this camera and I'll really like the way you shot it with the selfie stick walking around the neighbourhood like that! The Fimi Palm 2 picture looks pretty damn good imo. Colors looked pretty accurate and skins tones are good. I like seeing the background clearly. For a walk around casual vlogging camera, this seems like a good choice. The Osmo Action camera is pretty good now too with their latest firmware. I'm selling my GoPro 8.

Original Fimi Palm only came with a little lens cap which you might like. It's possible this lens cap will fit on the Fimi Palm 2 too since the gimbal head looks very similar in size. Just don't drop it with the lens cap. A user has documented how dropping their Fimi Palm with the lens cap on ended up snapping at the gimbal arm

The Fimi Palm 2 looks interesting, although I would really like to have 4K60. Even the Feiyutech Pocket knockoff has it. The biggest issue that it isn´t sold in my country, I could only order it from China, it would take ages to arrive and not really cheap anymore due to import duty.

The Fimi Palm 2 never had your face in focus. Looks like the minimum focusing distance is about 3m, so not great for vlogging, but nice if you want to admire the houses in the background. Still with tiny sensors everything is almost in focus I guess.

I think the fixed focus on the fimi part 2 is superior to the DJI. The reason is that the DJI has had focus issues, and the background is important.

this review is funny. its the best action cam image ive seen in a long time. As someone wanting to see the place as well as you, i prefer the fact everything is in focus. The dji looked lousy, only the go pro competed with it. And for the price, its a bargain. Normally the pocket 2 looks much better though, so i dunno why it looked so poor in this review.

I had high hopes for DJI Pocket 2 but it failed so hard. If it only had everything build into the hardware instead of that crappy module you have to add to it. I so wanted to buy that camera but it failed to much for me. GoPro is a nice option but I might get the original DJI Osmo pocket as I can get it real cheap. You could use a smartphone but I find the issues with audio and problems with android and apps not a solution.

I think fimi palm 2 is good enough for normal youtube vlogging if you don't intend to create a cinematic scene. Maybe sony A6400 + Signa 16mm + fimi palm 2 combination is the way to go.

Fimi is fixed focus. GoPro is fixed focus. Never Toneh by definition when fixed focus is on infinity. Always the vlogger is slightly out of focus. So no need to test 'autofocus'.
