Great tips! Love the fact that you go straight to the points without "hours" of flashy graphic or unnecessary small talk. I'm new to Final Cut so it was really interesting! Keep it up!👊🏻

Great tips Terry, there were some I didn’t know about. One thing to add, at 07:57 - if you use an external keyboard, you can press Backspace and it will delete everything on the timeline; if you press Delete, it will delete that clip and leave the timeline intact (same as you do with Shift+Del). I like to edit on a big monitor + separate keyboard.

All good! Holding the R key and selecting the range you want to adjust is even faster. I guess someone already pointed that out, but in case they haven't. I believe all tools can be quick-accessed by holding the key associated with it temporarily, do what you want to do, and the tool will revert to whatever you were using.

Not even a FCP user but here supporting Terry! I do keep debating switching to FCP from Premiere. I “know” Premiere but I don’t think I know it so well that I couldn’t get up to the same speed in a short amount of time. My M1Pro flies though in Premiere, zero lag.

For changing frame rates / making vertical videos you can also right click on your project, select duplicate project and it will ask you what size you want your duplicate to be. To me this is perfect for vertical videos because then you can use the smart conform option as well as manually adjust your clips without affecting your original time line. Awesome video though.
