To me, I’ll go with 7 being my favorite followed by 10, 9, 16, and 12. I played all of them and those are my top 5. I don’t like MMO’s so I’ll exclude 11 and 14.

the combat is good from the start, you buffer attacks and moves like the jump if you press it with the fireball after a combo which lets cancel the end of the combo and do it again in the air, lots of depth that gets missed by people.

Non-spoiler tips: The Eikons' eye color is important. Blue means the Dominant is in control of the Eikon's actions, yellow means the Eikon has taken over and is going berserk. The lore in the side quests makes them worth doing. They add a lot of color to the worldbuilding. Side quests marked with a + sign will unlock new features and upgrades, like blue quests in FF14.

I beat FF16, and did ALL of the side quests. I didn't do some of the side quests, because I didn't realize they were side-quests. They for the most part do SUCK. My favorite side-quests are the mini-bosses.

I enjoyed FFXVI for what it was. I will say that this game has INCREDIBLE highs that are awe inspiring along with some slow questing that has you questioning the pace. In that regard it is similar to FFXIV. 🤣 Can’t wait to see your future vids of this game.

Truth be told, Final Fantasy and the Genre of games it represents tend to be comparable to series such as Gundam, Dune, or the X-Men comics. Sure, you come for the spectacle and the action, but the real meat of the story is in the Politics and struggles of the characters. A tiny little refocus on perspective though… There are 16 Numbered Final Fantasy Games. In total, there are about 134 games if you include sequels and spin-offs.

@alexsterling5788 yes there is a game that does it its called asuras wrath ff16 got a lot of "influence" from that game if you want to call it that lol even some of ifrits animation and even basic attacks are the same even the concept of the final boss in ff 16 is also from asuras wrath 😂

Story 8/10 Side quest 6/10 Boss fights 10/10 Music 10/10 Itemization 5/10 FF16 is more of an action game. If you went in expecting the classic JRPG type Final fantasy game you are familiar with, then you might be a little disappointed.

My only complaint is the performance just kinda sucks like with a RX6800 & 5800X3D to play at 1440P I had to use FSR quality & FG & lock the game to 60fps to have a smooth experience but everything else is solid as hell.

@@CaffeinatedDad Yea for me to get a smooth experience I have to lock my fps in game to 60 and use FSR at quality and turn on frame-gen otherwise it'll be dropping into the 40s a lot the performance is the only real complaint a lot of people have the game is just not optimized some places you'l be at like 90fps no problem then you'l be a a small village no npcs and it's like 40fps it's all over the place.

Enjoyed it, except for 2 things, QuickTime is as gay as hell (with mini video clips in the middle of combat, just no), the end of FF16 lacks story endings and player choice... on a side note would have loved more story with Jill and Torgal as Clive's personality can get very dull and dry.

Final fantasy always had looong cutscenes. back in the golden era of PF1, everytime you would summon a primal/eikon/whatever, you would have a 1-3 min unskipable cutscene...that happened a lot during matches. It's what made FF what it is, story driven long cutscenes exploding visuals and music. Combat wasnt never its main strong point.

I have one luxrul bag I got in 2022, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

No. There's no interconectivity between Final Fantasy Games or multiverse or whatsoever. Every numbered game Is It's own thing, they just repeat the same elements like Summons, Magics, A Guy named Cid, and some story elements like Crystals and the Heroes of Light thay MAY or MAY NOT be in the game. That's the beuty of it. You can play any other game in any partticular order and It will be a completely new world, with completely new cast of characters and a diferent story. Except of course for the Named Sequels like FFX-2, FFXIII-2 and Lightining Returns and of course VII Remake which I guess you might be looking for to due to the Graphics and all the fame arount VII, but be aware that is not exactly a REMAKE but a Time Travel Multiverse Sequel to the original 1997 game (yeah, Its confusing with VII, but so is Everything Tetsuya Nomura touches). Some people in the coments will say that Tactics is in the Same World as XII but have you really stopped to questions yourselft if that actually MATTERS? Because its does not make any diference in the end.

It is the more popular ff the onesince it's also most people's first ff. It also started the journey to 3d is goodbye nowhere near peak fiction I mean we have berserk lord of the rings dune ...that title is a little out of reach ... I wouldn't say is the best ff even 6 is the best one 6 9 and 4 the holy trinity they all have their own unique problems though like 9 would be the best if the combat wasn't that slow. I remember when I was young everyone was always saying 7 is the best I played it loved it it was great but then I played nine and I was confused that one felt much more interesting and the world felt more alive unlike most other ff. Also the chocobo mechanic wasn't as egregious ...you can literally go to chocobo heaven. I love the homeless moogle that travels the world the one that saves your game but gets psychotic if you call him too much without saving. The game was full personality and details ....6 just has the best story how many stories does the villain actually win

it's a good game :) the story is good, there are a few memorable characters and the gameplay is fast and fun. it differs a lot from what the series has been for 30 years and that has made a lot people sour, but, the series evolved and it's looking for new audiences i feel. FFXVI is worth playing and it feels like an FF game :) enjoy it :)

Anime is not a genre, its a medium, there are a lot of anime that dont have flashiness, thats usually reserved for specific genre of anime. whenever I see people use "anime" as a descriptor I can easily tell they have limited experience with anime and take a few popular titles (usually magical girl or shounen anime) as being all anime is. Just because Star Wars has flashy space battles, doesnt mean all movies have flashy space battles, and is ignorant to assume thats the case. also, having experience playing all mainline titles of the final fantasy series, including the two MMOs, yes each entry is a self contained story which you can easily just pick one up and play it without ever having experienced another title in the series, though I would suggest you do that because they are all good games, for the most part.

I would highly suggest playing the original version of FFVII once you're done with XVI. It's where the series really took hold in the west and even today it has a fantastic story. (Plus if you ever play the remakes knowing the original story will make the plot make a lot more sense.)

Maybe it's because I had already been spoiled on pretty much every major plot point by the time I played it for the first time in 2023 but OG FF7 was pretty rough around the edges by modern standards, and I don't just mean graphically. I think going in blind would still be enjoyable, but I do feel like enjoying the original is very much dependent on not being spoiled since there's quite a few plot twists that I can imagine were pretty mind blowing, at least during that time period. By contrast I think I actually felt about Rebirth what many people probably felt about the OG, with many moments where I'm like, wait, what is happening? (I played finally got around to the original after Remake and just before Rebirth) For context I started with FF4/2 and played pretty much every mainline FF on release except PS1 era since I was a Nintendo kid back then, so it's pretty much impossible to be a part of the fandom for 25 years and not get spoiled hard.

Compared to other FF games, 16 really does have a lot of content where the player is not in control. At the same time, they've also done a lot more to make cutscenes and most other areas voiced. But yeah, even if you had come in having played the other FF games it can be jarring how much you're kinda just watching a movie.

@@CarlosXPhone Music and the movie like boss fights kept me going to an extend (as i said, it is decent enough as an interactive movie, just the gameplay was disappointing). But everytime i was done with one of the greater set pieces and i got back to the inbetween with 30 new side quests, i turned off the game for the day and continues on the next one.

I died only a few times on Garuda. But once I understood the concept, I could get past most of the game. But 7 times? I dunno. The most challenging part(s) of the game came a bit later. Like meeting Barnabas both times... ESPECIALLY the the second time. But that doesn't mean it's boring or tedious or whatever. Y'all weird. I don't know how people walked away from FF16 after BEATING the whole game and thought "Yawn, boring." Whatever.
