Here's the breakdown of my joke: I was acting under the impression that Scooby was secretly a stoner as well, and that he liked Scooby Snax so much because they were actually pot treats. However, your comment gave me the "revelation" that Scooby, unlike Red XIII, was _not_ a stoner. So then I replied, if Scooby wasn't a stoner after all, then that would mean that Scooby Snax are _not_ pot treats, and therefore Scooby must have had some _other_ reason for enjoying them. My theory is that in this version of events, she won't run off alone to stop Sephiroth because she realizes she's an Ancient and she's the only one who can summon Holy. In this version of events, she'll run off because all this time she's thought Sephiroth was a woman, and since Sephy has some sort of mental influence over Cloud, she (he) is the biggest obstacle between her and Cloud. So she runs off to do her yandere thing, and then promptly gets stabbed through the abdomen.

It's actually stated in the game states that the reason a Phoenix Down doesn't work on Aerith is because it revives knocked out party members only. After that video plays Aerith is marked with a special "Dead" state, treated very differently from "KO." It's too bad they didn't make that information more clear to players, but FF7 did hide a lot of lore and reasoning away.

Cloud got his chance to put Barret down a notch. Tifa clearly has feelings for Cloud and is trying hard to avoid telling him that he wasn't there in Nibleheim. And Aerith is clearly a girl that gets intimidated by other women and tries her best to put them down, if that conversation with Yuffie last episode was anything to say. Also, this was the very first fight scene that actually stuck through more. Most tend to be pretty fast paced and fly by quickly. I enjoyed that.

Nope, it's not. Stands right in the Making Of book Ultimania Omega and the game itself implies it. Cloud's inner voice is the real Cloud. The Cloud you play until Mideel is a mixture of parts of Cloud's personality, broken parts thanks to Jenova and through Jenova Sephiroth, and what he remembered Zax to be like. And that one line about "That's not just a reactor" right in the intro mission was supposed to be a Sephiroth quote from Niblheim. It no longer is, though, as that dialog has been re-worked. In that older dialog version, for example, Sephiroth knew that he was a Mako-and-Jenova-injected killing machine, that everyone from Soldier is.

This episode showed a lot of improvement from the past 3. Glad to see more in game content and humor in this episode. Also good contextualization of the animated additions. The television broadcast scene was genius and something I was looking forward to since the first season when they covered the motorcycle chase. Good job TFS! :D Excited to see more!
