Synergy Abilities are new special attacks in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. By performing multiple ATB commands with multiple characters, you can gain enough synergy to link two party members together to do a powerful attack. In this video, you'll see Aerith, Cait Sith, Tifa, Yuffie, Barret, Red XIII, and Cloud, all working together.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second game in the latest Final Fantasy trilogy and releases on Feb 29 on PlayStation 5. It's a follow-up to Final Fantasy VII Remake. The series has been rebooted from the beloved 1997 Final Fantasy VII.

I love how much he cares. The other male (human) party members are aloof, cocky and avoid showing emotion to much (which is fine and makes them unique each their own). You can see this in the Vincent, Cid and Cloud GS date for example. But Barret isn't like that and openly cares. They really did good by him.

I think my one criticism for the synergy attacks is the fact that Aerith doesn't get to keep the sun glasses she puts on with her attack with Barret. Would've loved if they let her keep them on until the fight is over.

Sad this is the only way to view them all. Cait gets nixed so seeing all of his Folio. Using Synergy attacks are really just safety manuevers in Hard mode more than they're actually useful. Beside the last thing you want to do is watch them instead of switching to your tertiary character to build ATB and assist in piling on DPS I didn't realize Halcyon Descent was so cute.

You just need to spend the atb gauge to increase the synergy gauge

You have to use atb weapon skills to get synergy gauge and when you get enough you can do one I believe synergy skills also build it up too. I love that as it encourages you to use everyone in your party more so than remake

He's not a party member. Even though he "joins" every dungeon afterwards Vincent constantly keeps running off to do his own thing. They're holding out on him for the next game along with Cid. Or more likely, he's going to have his own DLC sidestory like Yuffie did in part one set in the parts where he keeps running off.

idk about these i dont really like the way those are animated and also the scenery and choreography seems pretty chaotic and not dynamic enough. I prefer the good old full fleshed animated ultimate attacks you had in most JRPGs. Just give em some impactful dynamic animations, modern rpgs are shifting so much away from the good old animated attacks thinking they can now just do everything in action rpg format it just doesnt have the same feel or impact to it. I much rather prefer Theurgy attacks from Persona 3 Reload or Showtime attacks in Persona 5 royal.
