You are insane for doing this. People will say Dark Knights are overpowered but I can see several battles still being very difficult.

While they are strong, I think they don't shine as well until they get Knight Swords. Some battles can be really easy with the right abilities like Vehemence and Crushing Blow. But then with others where you have to fight multiple enemies I can see it being tough. 3 move and no reaction ability can make things hard. I can see a few battles being really tough though haha

@@J7Jase The hardest battle(s) I think will/ must always be in any game against those two assassins you are the only one’s Ramza, if a Squire in, can get his Ultima attack 😅 when you are trying to get it and win lol 😆 Soloing stuff as a DK, I feel might not rival THAT side challenge of getting your most powerful Squire strike lol 😂 (Yeah, having forgotten the main character from FFTA2 but- eh)

It is fun, challenging and frustrating at times. Lol. I had to change and put in a few things myself though since the War of the Lions version doesn't have the patch I believe. Like the first battle, while Dark Knights have strong Physical Attack they also lack HP. I realized I could not solo the first battle with 30 HP ish haha. I had to give him some Bronze Armor and a Helm to match Ramza's Squire's HP which can be anywhere from 49 to 54 ish. Even then I was at the mercy of Zodiac compatibility, especially in the first battle. Dark Knight is interesting. Very high attack but low Health. They can heal with Sanguine Sword AKA Night Sword but they are slow, have a base move of 3 and no reaction ability. They also have a support ability that increases damage done by 50% but they also take 50% more. I can see some battles being tough and reliant on RNG. I have a PSX emulator though so I may try something in the future like Monk haha. I am also playing The Lion War Mod for the original game. An excellent mod I feel for it.

I can’t seem to unlock DRK. I’m playing on PSVita I purchased the game from the virtual store. It’s the WoTL edition. I have knight and BLM mastered. DRG, SAM, NIN,GEO all at lvl 8. I’ve killed dozens of enemies without any help other than to have a party member heal me a bit. I’ve even collected dozens of crystals and chests from dead bodies. Still no DRK. I’m in chapter 2 I think.

*MY* kind of Challenge as I, like probably 90% or more lol love the Dark Knight job! (But I wouldn’t know how to hack/ cheat to get Ramza a starting DK lol) I always have looked up and wrote down (too much to remember/ memorize for me, anyhow) the jobs and how to unlock the locked jobs to get there… Always feels like a long grind but WORTH it- and couldn’t get myself to play as anything but DK with my main/ Ramza lol 😅 Though I am thrilled it eventually came to be a downloadable game for mobile; I still miss those days when I actually owned a PSP and had this game for it with the ability to do those Linked quests with a friend- mobile versions need that the co-op and Vs content. Liked co-op best lol 😆 😅

Thumbs up and a heart for great taste. And same here I love Dark Knight for Ramza as well as a Master Swordsman himself who slayed demons and prominent warriors in Ivalice he deserved something lol. And I agree too. Its a shame there was no multiplayer in the Mobile version!

i agree with you at the argarth part it really doesn't make any sense for him to command a unit knights and mages considering he was still a squire plus he was considered as a enemy as he was from limberry even if he manage to impress dycegard no way he will allow him to command also the fact that argarth tries to kill ramza a member of house beouves is nonsensical and all the knights just follows him

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it this way lol. It just felt odd for him to be in command of a military unit and yeah just as you said for him to attack Ramza and he was associated with Elmdore.

I think it makes perfect sense. Dycedarg would absolutely give Algus command of a small unit, exactly for the reasons you're stating. Dycedarg is an elitist who wouldn't be willing to compromise for the life of a commoner, but is smart enough to put Algus in charge so he has plausible deniability for anything that happens. If Algus kills Ramza, Delita and/or Teta, Dycedarg can just execute a rogue enemy squire and the traitors that helped him. Everyone is expendable. It's important to remember that Ramza's mother was a commoner. Dycedarg killed his own noble father to further his ambitions. You think he would hesitate to arrange for the commoner stain to be removed from his House? Don't forget, the Death Corps is a group of commoners creating all these issues. If Ramza is killed, Dycedarg has removed any common ties to the Death Corps and has a sympathetic story to inspire "revenge".

He use Patcher to edit Ramza first job and stick with it. You can google the patcher and how to.

That would be an awesome challenge, I imagine the best way to do it would be to change Ramza's base class on FFTPatcher to be a clone of Ark Knight (changing Ramza entirely into another character breaks some fights).

Also, to aliveate a bit the grind on the early game, you can give the class innate JP UP. It helps the grind by a lot, and helps you get to the actual challenge part a bit quicker (although some people might consider the grind part o the challenge itself).

@@allanrocca We will see haha. I already added in Bronze Helm and Leather Armor to help with the first battle and second but I think it was needed as Ramza's HP was far too low. I won't put on an innate JP boost though. Going pure Dark Knight or what the job class has to offer haha.

Yeah true. I could mod Ramza as a Dark Knight at the first and very first battle so it is doable for me.

no need to steal exp when you want to rush DK at the beginning I actually made a personal guideline the trick is to train a knight with critical hp as low level as possible you could easily do this at around lvl. 5 this will be your punching bag I also train ramza as arithmetician early you can train a different character this may sound ridiculous since your wasting time on jobs that don't unlock DK but for me having arithmetics will be godsend at early game since this will be your hard carry when grinding since once you start to lvl up at around 10 the monsters at mandalia will be tough especially with no gears a single naked arithmetician can easily control the field (toad and stone will be your best spells you can easily get those from BM and mystic) once you have both you can easily get ramza to DK you just have ramza punch the knight with jp boost you'll only gain 1 exp but normal jp also the knight can rend your allies speed and power into 1 so only ramza and your arithmetician can move at around 30 minutes or so you can easily max out a class my personal record for DK ramza at mandalia is around 16 hours ramza is around at lvl. 30 with speed hacks from a emulator you might achieve less in real time tailwind, toad, stone and rend will be your friend just make sure your punching bag and ramza has a 10 lvl difference

I got Crushing Blow first haha. I needed it to help me secure kills easier. Not sure if it was the best decision but it helped me.
