@@gandhitheholeresizer8329 See, that's the thing, most people don't think clearly when drunk. I too did my fair share of stupid things in my youth, while under the influence of alcohol (even got a couple of scars to remind me just how dumb I was), but if someone dared me to do something that would obviously put my life at risk, I noped the F out of it. You and me are the exception, not the rule. The friends are not without blame of course, but nobody pushed him or forced him to jump off the ship. It was his decision. An extremely stupid and ultimately fatal one, but it was his.

I was about 200 feet from the shore riding the waves when I felt something brush by my leg for about 2-3 seconds. I couldn't see anythjng under the water. No wake, no ripples, no vision. I'm a full time sailor and we do overboard drills all the time at sea with dummies in high vis life jackets mostly during day time. It's difficult to locate the dummy with the waves, distance and panic that ensue. Add on top that a live person can only have mins in the water with no shirt or anything, possibly drunk and in the cover of night there was almost no chance unless a flare was dropped. Please be careful, overboards are rare but are almost always fatal. Also in my opinion the 'Shark' honestly just looks like the waves that were created from the bow of the ship

This idea people have that sharks are just hanging out by boats, waiting to snatch whatever hits the water is ridiculous. There's a reason people go to that area specifically to dive with sharks- while there's always a danger the larger shark population there isn't eating people or even things people sized. Some people watch too much TV and thinks it makes them smart on a subject.

I'm a frequent kayaker on the Great Lakes. They aren't oceans, but they are inland seas, and the number one rule is respect the sea. You really need to know the water inside and out--how to tell when winds are picking up and a storm is coming, where rip currents are likely to form, etc. Seeing tiktoks of people just....jumping off cruise ships for "fun" is terrifying. Even the most experienced mariner, like Navy rescue divers, wouldn't do something like that. Yet these are mostly kids who likely have no experience with the water. Terrifying.

the ocean is unironically the thing that scares me the most, literally everything about it is dedicated to making sure that whatever doesn't belong in it is removed, from the hostile sea creatures that will attack you just because they confused you for food (and in most cases, won't even eat you after attacking leading you to drown) to the waves/riptides/currents/etc. as well as the crushing pressure the deeper you go in, it makes me wonder why anyone would even do something like this willingly. While it's sad it really is just an unfortunate case of "play stupid games win stupid prizes"

It always fascinates us to see areas of the ocean or sea that we haven’t explored yet, it is really unnerving how the ocean and sea can be a really scary place to dive and explore since who knows, there could be creepy abandoned areas in the ocean or even scary sightings of unknown thing. As of now, the ocean and sea is still a disturbing area to explore since like we said many fear of the unknown hidden beneath the depth of the ocean. Everything else, we loved the explanation on this and we hope you continue making videos like these.
