Thanks for the coverage man, I can’t believe baseball is over at the Oakland Coliseum. Oakland deserves better. Haven’t been able to post my stuff from this game yet, it’s been really emotional losing our last team and the most important team to me as an East Bay native. FJF Oakland forever! I hope the Phillies win it all this year brother!

Thanks for helping to document this sad day > I could have gone but didn't have it in me > I began going to Raider & A's games in '68 when the A's moved in > Father had Raider season tix from old Yuell Field at Laney College & he bought 50 yd line bleacher seats for the Coliseum > attended 2 World Series games in the back to back to back run in the early 70's & pretty much grew up in that Stadium ... High School days taking bart on Friday night to the games...$1 hot dogs, etc > will always bleed both Silver and Black & Green & Gold... forever my DNA. Safe to say this will be the only Fanbase to lose all 3 Professional Teams...& the Football Team TWICE!! ...pain no loyal Fan should ever experience. BTW..."Holy Toledo" was made famous by Bill King (RIP) ... Classic Announcer for the Raiders, A's & Warriors > even have a Bill King Bobblehead 😁 & for the Record...since 1968 the A's have the best home team winning % / record at .555 > what the radio announcers said yesterday anyway. #O4L #FJF

My first time to the Coliseum I was eight years old and it was April of 1968, NY vs Oak. Micky Mantle homered in the first and the A's walked it off in 11. My parents were from Philly and their first date was an A's game in 1948. Bob Feller went a 1/3 of an inning. My Mom's first time to Shibe Park was 1936, her all time favorite A's player was Wally Moses. My brother worked for the organization at the Coliseum in the mid 80's to mid 90's. By that time I had moved to Alaska, but I always made it down to the Coliseum for World Series and Grateful Dead New Years runs. I snuck into the 89 World Series by going through the front office with my brother, shaking Sandy Alderston's hand along the way (the Haas family, now those were owners). I raised two A's fans in Alaska by being their LL & HS BB coach/umpire and taking them to a week of Spring Training games every March with their Granma for a decade 96 to 06. A favorite memory being Mohamed Ali patting my son on the head and giving him an autograph on Barry Zito's leg on the cover of the program while he entered an A's Spring Training game in the 2nd inning to a standing ovation, that and all the foul balls and autographs. I've watched damn near every A's game since streaming has been a thing, and lately have had a Vuvuzela by my side while watching the game. Before that we used to get the A's on TV sometimes on Sundays, the highlight being watching Dallas Braden's perfect game with my son or taking both my young sons to the Bar to watch the 20 wins in a row game. I took off work for Game 162. I made my last trip to the Coliseum in May, for the Texas series, finishing off with a Double Header sitting in Sec. 119 at the top of the A's tunnel. Almost to where you made it for the end of the game. I hope you came away with an appreciation for the Coliseum , I always thought it should have become the Fenway of the cookie cutter era.Maybe it had a chance before Mt. Davis? You did a nice job capturing the final game. Now all of that has to come to an end because of one man. FJF............Let's Go Oakland

Captan, thanks for doing this video. A few years ago my sister and her boyfriend moved up to Oakland (from the Los Angeles area where I still live). So I went up to visit her and being a huge baseball fan (Dodger fan) I went to my first Oakland A's game at the Oakland Coliseum, at the time I believed what the national sport media said about Oakland, no fans with no passion. Well the Oakland fans proved me wrong. OAKLAND A's fans are some of the best if not the best fans in baseball, for sure the most passionate, more passionate then fans of my team. I flew up a few weeks ago to go to 2 more games, the Coliseum has so much character the fans are amazing with drums, cowbells, flags, chants, and they say; "Let's go Oakland". No other teams chants for their city. John Fisher is the worst, MLB will never have a fan base like Oakland.
