I didn't realize that Trouba was only 30. I'm not too upset about bringing him back for one more go around. Get to the trade deadline in a playoff position and make a move then. Hopefully by then Ottawa sucks so bad that Brady T demands a trade.
@WhippetsАй бұрын
It surely is Trouba's last crack at the SC with the Rangers, not sure about the rest of the core. Maybe another player or two moves as well (Smith, Lindgren, etc.), but don't expect much change beyond that.
@carlor.s.4742Ай бұрын
Likely Trouba's last year but not the entire core. I see Mancini moving in maybe next year. Damn, I wanted to see Rangers trade Kakko for Podkolzin, but instead the Oilers got him. Very astute move by the Oilers! Podkolzin can be an elite player.

I cannot wait to see rempe. And I really hope Trouba is traded in the next off season. Or bought out. Either way we need to pay shesterkin and he’s directly holding that up.
@bxbigshot1809Ай бұрын
I think ppl are sleeping on rempe I think he will be that down low screening the goalie and getting them tip shot he’s a rawer rage Thompson to me
@philipgiordano1565Ай бұрын
Edstrom and Rempe need to be in this lineup. Youth, desire, intimidation, size. physicality, energy. We lost our toughest all around player. These 2 could more than make up the difference and help in match ups against teams like Florida when it really matters.

Getting psyched for another season! A couple of thoughts: Kakko as GOT to step up this year. I'd love to see him get at least 55 points, or he's gone Will Chytil say healthy? If not who can they plug into that 3rd line center? Love the content

I think most of us already knew: this would be the last season with this Core. Honestly, I thought this past season would've been. Contracts...blah...blah...blah
@delsanravelvetheart4365Ай бұрын
Honestly, while I do really like the Rangers core, they just don't have enough to make a serious cup run. Rangers have been in cap hell for a few years. So losing some of the core players means the Rangers can free up a lot of cap space and give the kids a chance in the NHL. This core for the Rangers has been around long enough and there limit at best, is the ECF. The lack of defensive minded players really hurt them these past few years. So some major changes to this roster is needed in the worse way.
@Ck69420Ай бұрын
This whole core has NM clauses so it prob isn’t the end
@delsanravelvetheart4365Ай бұрын
@@Ck69420 Your talking about Bread, Mika, Kreider and a few others I'm assuming. I know, their deals don't end until next season I believe, or at least Trouba and Breads deals do. I'm talking about in general. Changes basically everywhere need to be made and that can't really happen until some of the bigger contracts are gone. No movement clauses can also be waived, if the players chooses to do so. It's just that the chances of that happening are basically zero percent since it's a guaranteed paid check. So having a no moment clause only is in place "If" set player wants it to be when there contract is written up. They have the power to waive that clause at anytime. The organization themselves just can't do it.

I hope he’s right

They will never get rid of Zibanejad, Trochek, or Kreider
@victorfranco4701Ай бұрын
That lines mollie sent was just from practice, bound to change. Just bc players are still under contract after this year doesn’t mean they wouldn’t get traded. If we don’t win the cup this year expect some key vets to be on there way out. Prioritize the young guys (Laf, Chytil, Othmann, Perreault, Laba, Cuylle, Berard, Miller, Fox, Schneider, Igor) move on from Mika, let Panarin walk the year after. Move on from Trouba

There's nothing insane about recent news all predictable. This guy sensationalizes every last issue. 😂

You don't normally see the captain come out and say it's probably the last season for this core
@DdeamorinАй бұрын
I wouldn't be against breaking the core up before the end of the season if need be , 2 ecf in 3 seasons these guys either have it or they dont.
@delsanravelvetheart4365Ай бұрын
It's honestly long overdue. The ECF is this Rangers limit with the current roster. The more physical teams easily overpower the Rangers and I'm sick and tired of seeing it. Getting rid of the core players means a hell of a lot more cap room and gives the prospects a chance to play in the NHL. Breaking up the core for the Rangers is the best thing they can do.
