That dash would be either out of a 73-80 model. Starting in I think 78 or 79 they moved the vin to the dash so those years would have an opening in the dash pad for that. Easiest way to quickly tell them apart is the bezel around the passenger side vents on the 81 and later models wrapped clear around the end like on your blue one.

It reminds me of my old Chevy Silverado. It was blue and white with a blue interior. It was killed by New York winter's road salt. It had a stock 350 and was only 2WD, but did ok in the snow if I put enough weight in the bed. You guys down South are lucky to have your vehicles last so long.

Glad to hear your feeling better. Are you going to put the tan color dash and door cards in it? I think that back in the day the tan and red was a good looking combination. It looks like the top was tan as well. It will be a nice truck once you get it all polished up.

The seat you took out looks like a seat from a 95-98 obs Chevy truck or possibly a Tahoe/Suburban. The old girl is cleaning up well. Unless you need the cash from flipping it, I would suggest this one be a keeper unless the body looks worse in person than it does on camera.

Those seats look like they are from a late 90s Dodge Ram, after looking up some pictures, I’m almost 100% sure. I think if you want aftermarket seats, you go for 99 to 2006 GM, they are the best and they last.

While I agree the old seats didn't fit the Square vibe, they're a lot more comfy for any long-term driving than the beat-down Square bench. (Just popping the headrests off would've been cool.) I did the same to my Square. But now that I'm driving it a good bit, I want the comfy seats vs. the "right" seat.

I love your channel issac but I gotta say it drives me crazy when I see people use floor jacks right in dirt. Since the floor jack is not able to move with the vehicle as intended. You increase the risk of the truck slipping off the jack. PLEASE at least put a piece of 3/4 ply under your floor jacks people....This has been your PSA for Friday jan. 5 2024 🙂
