My baby sister Ilsa who is 11 became addicted to your videos like me and our other sisters. Ilsa though is hearing impaired so we have to sign what Paul is saying to her which is hilarious because of the faces she makes when we try and explain what eyecromiter and other words mean that Paul says. Important! Info for the differential braking. I grew up on the coast of Oregon, where we have massive sand dunes. All of the better sand buggies have these setups, and they are handy. But I think you will find that they are not going to be very satisfactory as installed. You are concerned with having them out of the way, of course. But not like that. I suggest that you should install it with the handles parallel to the floor. . Instead of tilting the valve body backwards, tilt it forwards. When you need them, you will want to be able to pull up pretty sharply on the. For that, you need leverage. You GOT NO leverage when they are behind your elbow! And these aren’t like your brake pedal, they got no booster! Lay them flat, and try to locate the pivot about where your elbow is. Then it put the grips just below your shifter. They need to be within easy reach, where you can just reach down past the shifter, and grab one or the other, or both. Then you can reef on them when needed, and the rest of the time, they will lay below the shifters out of the way.

Those of us that have worked with machinery pretty much all our lives totally understand how difficult it is to do what you are doing. I was a maintenance and reliability engineer in the oil industry, we had some machines that would test our patience and knowledge to the limit. What I do know from plenty of experience though, is that anyone that can fix a car like you are doing, can fix most things. My answer to issues like your transmission, was to go somewhere really noisy like a machinery room, and run around swearing at the top of my voice. Then I would go back and threaten the machine with all sorts of terrible consequences if it didn't cooperate when we tried to fix it. Worked every time.

There is a classic SNL skit, where Christopher Walken plays a record producer. He's producing the "Blue Oyster Cult" classic song, "Don't Fear the Reaper". There are several "takes" shown in the skit, each time record producer Chris comes out of his "booth" insisting, with the famous punch line, "I think I really need more cowbell." Since Will Farrell is playing the cowbell, chaos ensues. In honor of Chris Walken, Paul's punch line should be, "I think I really need more floor shifters!"😃

I posted this on your last video but wanted to make sure you read it. Hey Paul. Go buy yourself a 25 ft length of flexible exhaust pipe for running those projects in the shop when it's cold outside. That way you can run it under your garage door. Don't do like I did and fire one up 3 or 4 times and not think about carbon monoxide poisoning. I had a detector in the shop ( I have 3 now) but it was at the other side from where I was working. Started getting real sleepy and luckily decided to go to the house. My heart started beating really fast. Thought I was having a heart attack. Didn't realize what I had done til I was at the Dr having a stress test done. I hook everything up now in the winter even a log splitter or mower. It's well worth the cost vs a trip to the hospital.

I'm loving how you set up the inside of your jeep. Good luck with the transmission, I hope you figure it out buddy. You should get a 55 gallon drum and cut it for your back wheel wells.Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family

I can see you hitting your elbows while using the two silver levers.... I was thinking, now that you have them bolted in,,, if you were to add an extension to them, and then put a 70 degree bend forward on the handle part?,,, what do you think ??...

You have a great attitude about that transmission. A lot of guys would have been cussing and throwing stuff. How you deal with disappointment says a lot about your character.

Love it! The best part of your videos is as your near the finish line Paul! Great work everyone. I’m excited to see the finished project. Now that you can devote all your time to this instead of this and your full-time job I think you’re going to make even more amazing stuff!

This is one exciting build guys. Can’t wait to see it take on the rocks. I also want to tell Paul, nice control at the end of the video. You still managed a smile even with that setback, that’s not easy but the effort is in itself is testament to your values and priorities. Well done sir.
