Visited London a while back and wow. Safe to say I didn't enjoy it. Stepping out of the 5 star hotel bubble, the whole city felt so dirty and unsafe. I remembered it being nicer in my head.

I can’t help thinking that leaving London was a bad idea. You seem to have gone to a lot of trouble to move so far. At least in London you could have used public transport if you don’t like living in big cities? I’m in London and find the public transport safe and convenient to use, and rarely touch the car.
