The only hope I have for Alicent’s character is that the only reason she gave up Aegon was because she thought killing him would be a mercy for him. Since she rarely checked up on him, she probably assumed he was dying anyway and once she figures out that he actually wanted to live, she’ll fight for him again and for her other sons. Because there’s no way she would ever give up any of her children’s lives to Rhaenyra when all she wanted was for them to be safe.

Rhaena is taking over the Nettles' storyline. Ps. Humans are not linear. We are messy. Mind you I'm not an Alicent fan. But in the book she goes missing for a huge chunk. We don't know how she could have gotten from A to F.

Like Alicent gave up her brothers position(she said what the plan cole's army has), the only person who was kind to her. Her son, Daeron, who was out of this mess before, is coming to Kings Landing. Rhaenyra is going to KL with bunch of dragons. That boy doesnt know, that his mom made a deal. He may die here during a fight, thinking that he is fighting for his family(mom included) I hate that she pities herself. She poisoned her boys' minds, she is responsible for this mess, I wouldnt let her go. She put her daughter in this position by making her marry Aegon. She didnt care to form the bond between brothers.She knew that Aegon bullied Aemond, she didnt care , she said something about not doing it in public. Like, you can buly your brother here, but outside you should pretend that you are his protector. She is pathetic. I dont care about her at all. I just cant with her. Writers try to make her likable, but they are failing.

I agree with you I find the writing of Alicent annoying. Even motherfucking Cole was less annoying in this episode 😅

I must say: I do definitely have more sympathy for Alicent than you; she's not without faults (but is Rhaenyra?), but she is not a bad person. It's important that she knows her faults. It's feels a bit uneasy to just say: kill your son. If someone could do that that easy, I think I would not consider them a good person.
