These cables have become standard on any new fps mouse, they reduce cable drag alot and make it really difficult to push against your cable. Its better in every way over your conventional rubber cable.

I'm somewhat interested in this myself actually. I don't have small hands, but I'm a fingertip/claw gripper, and almost all gaming mice seem aimed at palm grip so they're all extremely uncomfortable for me! I loved the CM Xornet II, but they replaced with with the CM Master Mouse which is still nice, but it's a little bigger, so less comfortable for me. My friend used to have a mouse I liked (don't remember the name), but it had a super stiff middle click and I use middle click a lot. So it's not just you small handers that are always forgotten! Us fingertip grippers are always left out too. :(

I liked the size of the Deathadder Chroma/Elite but it is pretty heavy, around 100g. I have the Glorious Model D now and I love how light it is. I still have the Deathadder Elite on my desk but it feels like a brick compared to the Model D! Light weight mice are definitely worth trying!

I don't like gaming mouse for that reason. I like wide mouses for my big palms. My favourite of all time was Microsoft Explorer Blue Track. It was the precursor the the M$ Sculpt Ergonomic. I guess the loose sleeve works like this: the braiding gets stuck under something but the cable still moves freely, so it gets stuck but the movement limitation is not as bad as with the competition, like the g502 hero.

Honestly the absence of that rubberized soft coating can turn into an advantage in the long run, since it tends to perish with age (it 'melts' and turns all sticky and gross). I've recently put my old original MX518 back in use when my G500s failed (needs a new cable), and I've had to painstakingly remove the coating in order to use it.

The Basilisk is also a really good choice for small hands :p My hands are tiny and I can actually use the thing without it falling out of my hand all the time lol Granted I still can't use the forward button without straining for it. Even though the Mini mice are slightly downgraded from their original counterparts, any sensor difference is usually pretty negligible unless if you're nuts and use like... 8k+ dpi. The lack of a rubberized finish doesn't matter as much since it's a lot smaller and lighter and I'd rather have a consistent feeling mouse and none of that weird grimey feeling you get when the finish starts wearing off. Also the Viper Mini in Canada is like 55CAD, so it's super affordable compared to mice in a similar class/weight. Don't know too much about the Deathadder Mini since for awhile it hasn't been easy to get your hands on in Canada

I recently got my first Razer product with the Basilisk Ultimate. Loving it so far. I switched from a Logitech G502 Lightspeed after the switches started dying in less than 6 months and would start double clicking on a consistent basis, hoping the Ultimate lasts a bit longer than that!
