kzbin.info/www/bejne/amimlaWoq5tlkKM Flat stock is rolled, formed and electric-resistance welded. Plated in an inline process. The flat spot is seen around 1minute mark. That smooths the welded area. There are better videos, I'm sure but this is the first I found.

It's a nice set up, but for me too much space all the way around. Just trying to keep the wind from entering my enclosure. Too much of a gap.

@@BTNomad Thanks! I did the couch to 5K running app and tried to make small changes to my diet. I stopped eating out so much and kept an eye on calories and sugar intake. I've lost weight before on more strict diets but I found that they aren't sustainable and I eventually gained it back. Small sustainable changes over a longer period of time has helped the most!

don't the plastics used in 3d printing tend to get really brittle in sunlight fairly quickly?

It all depends on the material you use. There are a lot of options out there for 3d printing. PETG is the material I use which is rated at highly UV resistant.
