This NEW setup has officially impressed me. What questions do you have? Post here:

Do you think that this can compete with the heating mode with the coldture pro chiller? How about putting this to the test? It would be nice to have a separate cold plunge as a hot tub for contrast therapy with out sacrificing space of a jacuzzi.

@@DavidMausJrHi David- question can you tell me about the heating component, how many degrees per hour will it heat up and does it cycle back on and off when doing so ir does it stay on until it reaches hot temperature set point? Thank you.

This great, all the chiller updates and new plunge options go well with this P.M.'s Summer's rebrand they did. All really coming together to look sharp!

Thanks for the review, very cool to see! I bought a polar monkey 2.0 about 9 months ago before the new chiller drop. Absolutely love it so far. Initially it came without a pre-filter, but polar monkey sent me one like 2 months later. I haven't had any major issues with the chiller, but I did experience the chiller continue to purge water (likely the purging component mentioned) and wouldn't work one time after replacing the water. Polar Monkey customer service got back to me immediately the next morning and helped me trouble shoot it. Turns out I just needed to tighten the bottom piece of the pre-filter a little bit and it was a simple fix. Coincidentally this happened shortly after your video about the all-in-one chiller issues so I was freaked out lol

Thanks so much for continuing to build the bio-hacking/cold plunge culture. I already have the Active Aqua 1hp chiller rigged up with a Tractor Supply plastic tub. I've been shopping for an insulated tub that will rig up to this pretty easily. Being in Pensacola and a fellow Floridian dealing with the Florida weather, what would you recommend would be a tub that can keep cold in the Florida summer heat? I've got mine set up on my back covered lanai by the pool and during the Florida summers the plastic TC tub struggles to keep the water cold enough not to mention the condensation I encounter. Is the IceBarrel insulated/thick enough to battle the Florida heat? I've also looked at the Grizzly Cooler to keep out all the fun lizards/bugs we have here in FL..LOL!

Can this chiller be purchased individually without a tub? And would this work with the Desert Plunge Exclusive?
@therealdellreyАй бұрын
I love this question! I have a Desert Plunge too.

@ Hopefully Mr. Maus see it and is able to answer it for us. 🙏🇺🇸

In the past they wouldnt sell just the chiller or just the tub. I checked on the website and there is not a standalone chiller option .. it would be great if this changed, I have an IB 500 and dont need another tub.
@DavidMausJrАй бұрын
Great question! As of right now I dont see that option but I will bring this to the founders! Fingers crossed!

I reached out to them and this is what they said: Commercial chiller: $3800 Separate filter, pump, etc. Chill only Residential chiller: $3500 Chilling and heating Both make ice Both have 1 year warranty with options to buy extended warranty. Edit: So yes, they can be purchased separately.

Do you have to use the polar monkey chiller? Can the chiller be replaced with the Active Aqua chiller in case the polar monkey chiller breaks? I've seen some very negative reviews that the polar monkey chiller broke almost immediately after receipt.....
@blaqdragun1Ай бұрын
This still looks like the chinese all in ones... Does this chiller allow access to the internal pump? Are there any user serviceable parts besides the filters? What is the warranty and turn around time for issues with the chiller?

I've had my DIY cold plunge set up for 1.5 years using the Active aqua 1/2 hp chiller that you used to do videos on. My chiller just went out and wondering if you have had any issues with yours that you could help point me in the right direction. The compressor definitely isn't turning on anymore. Unfortunately it's out of warranty. Any help is appreciated.

Where does Polar Monkey make there tubs at?

The set-up looks great. I trust your review. I bought a Desert Plunge based on your review. The Polar Monkey brain pod is NOT affordable. $5,900 is out of reach for a lot of people. At that price point, many are buying a car for their teenager.

Please tell me the chiller isn’t made in China. I’m tired of the cheap components being used in these

I personally feel this tub is very small and shallow, disappointed in the "honest review" when its clearly paid. Chiller looks good and ice generation is great. My suggestion is pairing with cyber range if budget is no issue as these prices are super expensive and will get more expensive once tariffs are applied early 2025.
@therealdellreyАй бұрын
“Small” and “shallow”? He literally gets in the tub in this video. At 6’1” he has his legs extended and he rests comfortably with his shoulders submerged. What is your definition of small and shallow???
@Elk300Ай бұрын
The tariffs will only help America. David Maus is an honorable man, and for you to question his integrity does not look well for you. You’re obviously biased in your comment as evidenced by your “tariff” comment. If you’re not pleased with David’s honest assessments, please go do your own video assessments and let us all know how they fair.
