A beautiful example of a 268 and a great running all around work saw👍 So awesome of you to gift it back to Adam! Will be interesting to see how that titanikel cylinder is wearing in!

Love that 268, like I have said I have one and my dad has one. Your play list on this saw has helped me get these two saws purring. Not ported, just tuned up properly after seals and carb kits. I run an 18" bar with a full comp chain, that's all I need. I use the bar length to measure my billet length and the saw cuts like mad with the shorter bar. We cut 20 to 30 cords a year with them. Adam is going to absolutely love running it. I also think I'm going to build a pipe for mine and see what the difference is. Take care Tinman Mahalo 🤙🤙🤙

Hey tinman! I was just watching another channel that is a small engines shop. The channels name is (chickanic) she just did a parts room walk through and showed a large section of McCulloch new old stock. She said if anyone needs any get in touch. Just fyi

NAILED IT!! Been there so many times on the farm Tinman. It's all good when it's your own saw but if it's a hired faller they don't take to kindly to that. My experience is all.

So great to see that saw cut! yeah that is a fine pipe too. it sounds good the starting of that saw is just what Id enjoy.

Good running powersaw! She sounds like her mouth is full cutting that maple with full house, maybe skip would’ve helped there but otherwise a strong midrange saw that is reliable and fun to fun :)

The only time we cut wood here in Labrador is in winter. Snow up to your chest or not, we use snowshoes. I’ll have to send you a pair of Labrador snow shoes!

I don’t like to be critical , keep both hands on the saw when cutting , l see Buckin ‘ Billy Ray do it all the time . If that saw decides to kick , it may get you . It becomes a bad habit . I always work alone , falling and bucking can be dangerous . Stay safe enjoy 👍🇨🇦

@@tinmanssaws I’ve only got to run a few from that year but they felt like modern saws. I had a 272 I rebuilt with a hyway pop up and couldn’t believe how well it pulled a 28” stock. I’m sure they are even better after your done working on them.

I notice you are using one of the Husqvarna guides there. I find that it is pretty useful in building consistency with angles. I like it with the Xcut chains. It works.

So 3 weeks ago I got hired as a husqvarna mechanic. I gotta say your videos now hit harder lol. Have you heard of a no start condition on the 455's if you rum them hard and not starting after running out of fuel? A customer said his 455 WILL NOTstart hot if it runs out of fuel, and he refills it. I have a theory that the carburetor gets heat soaked because it doesn't have fuel running through it / cooling the carb off. What do you think?

Seems like I can go tank after tank of fuel without any metal or imbedded rocks. But sharpen or put on a new loop, usually when I'll find it😖
