Great show again mate, feel your pain in driver department, I have struggled so much with driver even after lessons, it just ain't working for me, hit my 3 wood further and straighter, have now just bought myself a gen 6 17 degree 2 hybrid from PXG ,played in very windy conditions yesterday and was so impressed with it, even more controlled than my 3 wood a true fairway finder that kept me in play, good to see the other half on camera, keep them coming mate.

Getting off the tee in my opinion is the most important shot in golf. Everyone talks about short game but if you’re hitting 3 off the tee or always punching out of bushes then you won’t score well

Pretty good scoring for what you were working with ball striking-wise. I was looking at some of your much earlier video when you were smashing your driver and you are very clearly coming into the ball much more steeply on average at this point in time than you were then. While the club was still behind your hands, the club was dropping very quickly to the plane or even below much more quickly and obviously than it is now, which would allow to strike the back of the ball squarely from the inside with a crisp assertive strike. It can be deceptive when one works on distance because attempting to delay the shaft and get shaft lean and compression can lead to dropping the club too late in the downswing and too much steepness and outside approach. Whereas dropping the club low enough, fast enough (which seems counterintuitive for power) while the club is still behind your hands is what allows you to drive the club through the ball in the agressive turn through impact that creates clubhead speed. If you want a specific, I looked at the match entitled "Our First Match In A New Series - RACV Royal Pines" and at the 5:00 mark exactly, you smashed a drive where I see a much different approach into the ball. I have struggled with this kind of thing before in my own swing and I find that I need to have the club feeling low behind my hands and dropping in my trail hand as I come down to club parallel and start to release the club which causes the club to feel much more behind my turn as I release through impact. Of course, everyone's a little different. I hope that I helps. Cheers.

Thanks mate, nah I haven’t played it much. It’s good but I don’t like the putting on GSPro and as a practise tool (which I do most) I don’t like it very much. I think it’s overrated. As a course play software though it’s fantastic

Great video , your par 5 , drive out of bounds dropped ball playing 3 ? I’d be playing 4 or provisional from the Tee . Have the rules changed ?

Nah they haven’t and you’re quite right. Should have gone back to the tee but had someone behind and therefore should have been hitting 4 not 3 so should have been bogey 👍🏼😁

@@scottbutterly8997 king of a KZbin rule but if it was a Saturday comp I would have had to go back to the tee. Local course doesn’t even allow for the 2 shot penalty thing but a lot of courses are now adopting that 😁

Hi Dave. I'd like to ask your view if you don't mind. I currently play the Cleveland XL driver. Have a CH speed of about 110m/h and I total my drive about 265m consistently. My spin is my problem as the ball goes very high at about 3200rpm @ 17 degrees. I've done almost everything to lower the spin to get the ball to roll out a bit more. I'm looking at buying a Cobra LTDx as it seems to have much lower spin. I'm considering the Aerojet LS which Golfbox has for almost the same price, but it looks like some reviewers say it goes a bit further and lower but can be less forgiving. Not sure if you've hit them before. What do you think mate, for the same price what would be the better big stick? Cheers.

Honestly I have the lowest spinning driver head on the market and a low spinning shaft and with a bad shot I still hit 3200 rpm. It really comes down to the swing (and shaft) that are the major players. Don’t get sold into thinking that just changing the driver head will dramatically change the result. However that being said, a proper fitting could definitely be beneficial as they will cost more but get you setup perfectly
