Great video 👍 check the timing chain, if it has stretched then the tensioner can become lose. There was a problem on 2010-2012 engines across the range where the tensioner and gasket can become lose and lose oil.

Chain tensioner is renowned on these engines. I bet it's had a new one and not been tightened properly? Can't believe the previous owner put Hi Fly tyres on the back of that car. That's shocking on a car like that. I have an RCZ Hdi and love it, but didn't want the petrol version due to the tensioner issues. 👍

Cheap Chinese tyres on a rare performance car. Proves its not been cared for by a petrol head. I would like to say that tensioner being loose is too coincidental because of your complaints to the body shop. But it looks like the previous owner ran it on a budget.

That's what killed mine on a long run, lost all the oil through the chain tensioner. Luckily the car was still under warranty and Peugeot bought it back. That was the straw though 9 months of the most unreliable car ever. Spent at least 2 months of the time I owned it in the dealer getting the engine fixed, most of which were problems with the timing gear, beautiful car shame about that engine...though I believe the diesel is OK.
