FINALLY getting the Mach 1 Dyno Tuned!!!

Today I'm FINALLY getting my 03 Mach 1 Mustang tuned! After a JLT Cold Air Intake, BBK Headers, custom x pipe, and Flowmaster 40s, I'm curious what kind of power she'll be putting down!

I had my 98 cobra tuned at prodyno back in December of 21 and it made 299 hp and 293 tq to the wheels. Dan is one of the best Ford tuners around.

I’ve been looking for a tuner for my 03 Mach 1 in NC, these guys are only about 2 hours from me. I will have to give them a call, Thanks. Awesome Mach by the way and really good power numbers. Back in 2014 my first Mach 1 was an 04 Torch Red auto, now I have an 03 Azure Blue 5 speed. These cars are a lot of fun and cool looking!

heck yeah man, and yeah I wanted to do a handheld tuner as well but I've heard horror stories about engines blowing. A real tuner can look at your car specifically and install something far better than a box tune. Good luck man, go make some power

Yup, I got mine from Treadwear.com and they're doing fine. I did take it and autocrossed it one day and the front right tire was pushing, which flexed the sidewall and kinda unstuck one of em but the look is fantastic and turns a lot of heads

So you picked up 4rwhp from a dyno tune? I was expecting a bit more to be honest. I have an 04 mach with american racing headers or X and borlas and was thinking of getting mine tuned but prob not worth it for only 4hp

A tune is worth 10-15rwhp over running full bolt ons on a stock tune. The 1st run where it made 315rwhp most likely already had adjustments made to the tune for his mods.

You're just looking at peak to peak gains. A tune makes a huge difference in feel and performance because it really improves the power across the power curve. Just looking at peak to peak gains doesn't come close to showing the true difference. Very misleading.

For real, the day to day driving of this thing is night and day. Just sri ING around normally you can feel it pulling much harder. Just seems like it runs "healthier". Could be placebo effect but power is better throughout the entire power band.

Yeah he backed out of it on the first run and had already loaded up a tune from a previous car that had all the same mods as mine. He did that just to get a good baseline. So I don't know how much power the tune actually added but I can definitely feel the difference!

Stay far away from those 3800 pound cars why?? FYI 03-04 machs are 3200 just so you know that extra 600 pounds you gotta drag around and that’s 320 to the wheels those coyotes are 400 to the wheels if your lucky so your saying that extra 80 hp is good for that 600 pounds? Be a good race

My 03 Mach dynoed 343 to the wheels with arh long tubes and borla with jlt and e85 tune I’ll run your coyote also have electric water pump and power steering delete my Mach weighs 2900 tubular suspension
