I think more importantly I'd love to see you solve the treasure maps! And find the rock carvings, dreamcatchers and dinosaur bones; no shame in looking their locations up, that's what I did too... But I think they are a nice way to explore the map more and appreciate all the details :) Oh and definitely find the graves too! I always visit Hosea and Lenny whenever I'm nearby since they're in a convenient location :D And Arthur and Susan have amazing views from their resting places, Charles did an awesome job.

Exactly, John. This game may look amazing, but the true accomplishment, rarity of this game, is the sheer amount.....of variously located, unique, full effort high-quality voice acted.....not once does it break suspendion of disbelief with any marginal voice type cast or voice quality performed. And my god the amount of writing that had to be required...for the sheer volume of different individuals you can stumble across all over the map in the game (not even related to propelling a story forward). That alone, itself, makes this games claim to stand in limited company atop the list of open world games/genre. And I don't make such high claims about anything lightly, or often (like John, I tend to call things out when they have bad stuff in them, but this game is very hard to say such about much, in it)

2:22:00 : the amount Seamus gives you for each coach you rob depends on the type of coach you steal + its condition. So, he will pay less for a wooden wagon and more for a fancy carriage from Saint Denis, for example.

Honestly, John if you record doing the challenges, a lot of the fun of your playthroughs are "surprising things that happen along the way" since it never goes exactly to plan. So I don't think it will bore (very many) folks currently along for the ride, to see you do the challenges. If you look back over it and sense it went too cookie cutter repetitious, you could do some easy cuts to knock it down by half, no need for lots of editing effort. But honestly, posting them as is full, might be pretty fun. A lot of the game's gameplay is repetitious anyway, like the hunting animals, but the actual *doing* of it....always ends up a wild ride. :)

(Longggg comment that's all over the place, also spoilers) Aww man, that Pearson bug was unfortunate. Sucks that it ruined the moment like that! Last episode was so cursed, it's still lingering! :( It's especially unfortunate because I agree with what John said about the random encounters in this game after the campfire fort guy, it breathes a lot of life and personality into the world to have them and really elevates the experience, so having such a meaningful "random encounter" (or I guess just little surprise meeting in case you stumble across him, in this case) glitched out and unsatisfying when you first come across it stinks. But ah well, just to reiterate, I really do enjoy the random encounters and feel like they add a lot of nice spice to the world, since I was mixing my compliment in with a gripe haha. The sequence of putting the house up really was nice, I think it was my favorite part of the video! :) It did make me think wistfully about Arthur and the others being around to help Johnny M, though... John's letter to Abigail was sweet but made me sad with Johnny M's voice acting when he said, "But I am trying, very hard, to be something like, the man you deserve. I have done something, very silly, in an effort, to impress you!" (You can hear how carefully he's picking his words as he's writing because he knows this letter is his only shot at getting her back.) And speaking of voice acting, omg Ramon's VA is super hammy lol. ROBBING POOR PEARSON FOR NAUGHHHHHT NOOOO. I do like the story idea of John using Johnny M time to do all the crimes he really didn't do as Arthur and tanking his honor; it feels like Marston "falling off the wagon", so to speak, without Abigail and Jack, and back together with old outlaw friends, and getting desperate enough to finance the ranch meant to bring his family back together by any means possible (and being an outlaw has gotten him the most money consistently, so...) I think my other favorite part of this episode was the wagon and horse-stealing sections, John was so sassy. (Fave parts from that part: "Why are you talkin to me like I'M Clive?! He was talkin to me like *I* was gonna do it!!" He really was 😭, John chanting "EM-ERALD RANCH, EM-ERALD RANCH, EM-ERALD RANCH! YEAHHHHHH!" made me cackle, and "You are... a man of mystery. I don't understand what your standards are for this crap.") 2:11:32 remember, this is what Rains Fall saw him do right in front of him before they talked lol. Rains being a bro and giving John a little Plus Cowboy to make up for how much he lost in this episode, good guy. (Good to know he's still alive and remembers Arthur fondly, but man, poor fella.) So glad John decided to take the American Paint for himself, I liked her the minute I saw her too

I don't know why your game is so buggy, John. I've not had any problem playing this game, only little glitches here and there, nothing significant. Hopefully, you won't get any more of those when you meet other important NPCs. Thanks for the new RDR2 uploads, and sorry that some people are so impatient with this stuff.
@ChaserBD047 күн бұрын
I've always recommended people play RDR1 first before RDR2, even though 2 is a prequel. John, I understand your frustration with the epilogue, but the epilogue is a HUGE payoff for fans of RDR1. I loved 1, and then played 2, and was kind of bummed to go back as Marston, but still, he was like a warm blanket. Nice to have around. And nice to see the payoff that proceeds RDR1. I hope you play RDR1, and then if you decide to try and 100% in your own time for either game, there are definitely a lot of resources out there to help you do it. Both games have their own niche; I would say 1 feels a lot like early GTA, more like arcade style, but the story is still fantastic, and Marston is just a complete badass. Your Pearson thing was just completely glitched... lol That's unfortunate. Hilarious that it popped off during a gun fight outside. And even more hilarious that you robbed him. AND that it didn't count. LMAO. That whole sequence was just... fantastic.
