Bring 2k back. Add classic players again, but the best of the best this time. Fix the beards, hair, and graphic glitches. Let people do roster updates and 2k should update the rosters. Do realistic player ratings. Keep the same gameplay from 2k13, but more realistic. As in, if it’s hit in the outfield, major leaguers can still get an out of it’s not too deep. Have online options to import logos for creating your team. Also have custom cleats. Like if 2k puts as much effort into mlb as they do nba, it would be a great game.

Finally some good news for you. The on-line play for this game should be A-1 due to the game's design and small community. There really shouldn't be any lag time whatsoever. As far as all of the specific features you would like to see be included will remain to be seen. A lot of your request do fit in with their current game concept so, most of your requests should appear in the game. The only question now is game popularity. Apart from being in a committed created on-line league, random match game play against another player could be tough. I could actually see it restoring you to have to play a CPU team due to not being able to find another opponent. If they could cross format the PS4 with the XBOX on-line, that would be huge and increase the probability of finding a live opponent.

I love The Show, but I'm intrigued for this game, just because I love customization. The whole reason that I still have my 360 is so I can still play with my created leagues on Madden 12. Designing my own baseball league seems fun as hell. Great video!

Not sure what's holding up EA now. I know there was an exclusivity agreement for some time over who could make baseball games but that has expired. I thought I had read an interview that I believe Polygon or Joystiq did a few years ago with EA about the lack of baseball games and their answer was they would need to recreate a new baseball game from the ground up and that it would take some time to do that. With the amount of money and resources EA has I'm shocked that despite making those comments that they just seem entirely uninterested in creating a baseball game. That being said I bought the PS3 and PS4 mostly for the show games and they haven't dissapointed..

Every online game will have delay, the milliseconds is measured in ping, your experience with server connection will vary based on your connection and the server speed... peer to peer connection speed depends on A) who's hosting or B) the speed of the slowest persons connection. Sports games usually use style B while games like call of duty use A because it can support a larger network of players at a time

You said it perfectly. They cant expect to draw in a young crowd with just tv and games. The sport is decreasing in popularity with young fans each year, and speeding it up won’t change this. An Xbox video game that directly rivals MLB The Show would reach such a big audience. Not this cartoony stuff. It seems like a decent game, but compared next to The Show, it’s humorous. If the MLB wants to hit a younger crowd, maybe they should work with Xbox to put out a real game. Just my thoughts. Also, I’m not sure if Sony owns EXCLUSIVE rights to the MLB, for video game production. They could only have an agreement or they could have a binding contract that only allows them to use MLB brands... just sharing my thoughts.

Really I feel kinda bad for baseball here in the states. In high school nobody is talking about it. Yeah you see ppl wear the shirts and the jerseys every now and then. But MLB is really going downward for the next generation. Soccer is catching the hearts of the next generation. It's sad to see Americas past time game going this way. And I'm a soccer and basketball fan, but one way of getting kids into baseball is video games. And the only good one is mlb the show which is only on ps4. So hope someone makes a good game..

SMB2 will be great (I'm apart of the closed beta for it). The customization feature is great (but will take time to get things exact). The gameplay is very similar to the first game, but I think that's fine.

Completely agree with TD, if you played the original you would know the gameplay is different from the show but still very enjoyable. From the footage of the sequal the gameplay looks mostly unchanged For Xbox users, if you want an enjoyable baseball game to have fun playing, than this is definitely that game. The original was a blast to play with friends But if you want a realistic simulation style game like Madden or 2k, this probably isn't the one

I enjoyed the video. I have an xbox, due to my family and friends playing on xbox. As a die hard baseball fan, I'm about to break down and spend over $200 to play a good baseball game again. SMB was fun but it couldn't replace the itch to play a good simulation baseball game. I fear SMB2 Will be fun but only leaving me a bigger desire for a good baseball game.

If it’s a supply and demand thing then there must not be enough demand on Xbox to spend millions of dollars on a high quality baseball game like MLB The Show on PS4. Create a petition, get a community of people then I’m sure there will be a high quality baseball game on Xbox like Madden and NBA 2k.

For some people having both consoles isn't option, either they like one or the other and that shouldn't be an issue when it comes to that. I understand that all console companies want to stay competitive and a head of every one ells but, once one console comes out with cool game no matter what genre it falls under. It takes for ever or it never comes to where the other console come up with something similar. XBox for example, hasn't really hasn't had a good MLB game in about two to three decades that implies single player carrier aspect where the player creates there own character, builds the main status, customizes there gear & takes there shot at going to for big leagues one set at a time. In my book that has to change and hopefully soon, just saying.

The non-sim games are not fun for everyone, some people will like them but most dont. The NBA 2K team should step up and get it done...

I picked up MLB the show back in like 07. Best baseball game ever. 2k did pretty good as well with the skill point based career mode and the focus on your player. All of a sudden they just scrapped baseball from xbox. I couldn't even find an old copy to play for fun. No baseball and we got two indie companies making boxing games. Pretty sure they're gonna suck ass compared to fight night. Wtf is EA doing? Madden blows ass every year.

I like the team creator, the scenery looks good but the exaggerated players are kind of annoying. I like cartoony graphics. Anyway, more competition is better, i just wish they'd (all sports games) release one game per generation and just update rosters and other features, even if its a 10$ or 15$ per year upgrade, I'd be fine with that. "A little cartoony" .. Understatement. Sorry Xbox fans, but if this is what your raving about or anticipating as being your next great baseball title, that's just a damn shame. Not even solid at best, IMO. It's really unfortunate that a license deal can't get done that would split ownership between Sony and another company. Competition in gaming is great, for not only the gamer, but the companies behind the games as well. ESPECIALLY in the case of sports games. We all see what's happened to EA and the Madden franchise once 2k lost rights. Same could be argued about the NBA 2k franchise once EA pulled Live from the shelves years ago. Thankfully BOTH franchises are up and running and looking to compete. The point is, there is more than enough evidence to suggest that competition between multiple companies who are doing the same thing is EXTREMELY important, just as much as it is healthy. Let's be honest, it's good to have other ideas to feed off of or improve on, even if it means those ideas came from the opposing company. Just wish the gaming industry hadn't turned into a political machine. Otherwise, we wouldn't be having this issue. Sorry to rant, I just think it's time for games in the sports genre to have a little more selection. A quality one.
