I came across this video while looking for financial videos to send to my 18-year-old daughter who is in college and being very frivolous with her money. I am somewhat of a financial coach as I help people budget, fix their credit , also build business credit, but she doesn’t want to listen to Mommy just as yall mentioned lol... I sent her this and I’m hoping she watches it because this young lady was really dropping gems. She literally reiterated everything I teach so I know without a doubt that she knows what she’s talking about and that she’s been really educating herself. I will also check out more of your content. I love to see young black women doing their thing in this space ❤️

Im a Black Latina born here in the US. Neither side of my family has generational wealth and neither of my parents own homes or property. Growing up we were homeless. I was never taught any of this. The most my mom taught me about money was the basics; work, save, spend less than you make. Sounds pretty simple but no one tells you the struggles that come along with having to build self discipline. They don’t tell you about saving for retirement, or having a savings account that builds interest over time. While I know more than I did a year ago, it still feels like I only have a piece of the puzzle. Thank you for taking the time to make this and share your knowledge. Obviously there’s so much more to learn, even with yall just making this video you’ve already helped a lot of people. Watching yall talk about money and share your experiences makes it all feel more real, and it makes it feel more attainable. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you ladies 💖

This is a very good video for ppl who what to understand the 101 of credit usage and how credit scores work. All 3 of my credit scores are over 790. I have 2 CC’s and I use one for my bills. Paying it back each month. Doing this will help your score go up quickly.

i might just be a lil slow in the moment but when she says and pay it off at the end of the month is she referring to the balance of the whole card ea. $1000 card pay that or just whatever the monthly is on time. new to credit.
@jellibabii948 ай бұрын
From my understanding it’s best to pay the balance off in full before the end of every billing cycle to keep your utilization down. That way your credit score builds quickly.
