Can never get enough of the sweet melancholy poetry of Nate Barcalow. RIP Finch, still my favorite band since I was 14 in 2002 downloading the What it is to Burn album on Kazaa. Never got a chance to see them. If you haven't heard their final project before they split called Phantasma then give that a search. Nate uploaded the raw demos for the fans when he knew there was no reconciliation it is incredible. Has the old Finch nostalgia to it, definitely reminiscent of Say Hello to Sunshine

It's really cool that their original drummer, Alex Pappas returned. If I remember correctly, he dropped out while they were still touring with their songs from "What it is to Burn." I only saw him in the band my first time seeing them in 03'. I never met him. I've only met Alex Linares/Grizz once and Randy Strohmeyer/R2K three times. He's a real nice guy, and so was their one drummer, Mark Alan. Such a nice guy too. He use to sell merch with Randy even after dropping out of the band. I never met Frontman, Nate. Maybe I will someday at a show.

The best band that nobody ever heard. So sad they never got the recognition that they deserved. Must've been a really shit contractual agreement with a really shit manager. Coz they were better than anybody else that came out of their era. Doesn't make sense. Unless it was an internal issue. I can only speculate.
