I like the idea of using a real picture to do the fine tuning since in the end, picture quality is really what matters. Nice job.

Power and speed are very depending for different laser power. In my Ortur, i set power 75% and speed 5000. I am not satisfied with the deepness of engraving but, DPI test is good. It would be much better with lower speed but that would increase work time several times, and, i dont have a time.

Can you explain line interval. I saw on the lightburn forum that someone put theirs in Inches instead of MM. I'm wondering if I use a lens from American Photonics for the glass tube C02 laser. I should be able to get more DPI because the beam is smaller. If I keep the line interval the same is that correct or should it be adjusted?

Are these instructions exclusive to this particular laser? How do we find the optimal DPI on a Glowforge Pro for example? We can't really set the head/bed height. This is automated. But I would like to know what DPI to enter into my images in Imag-R online when converting images.
