Shawn Askinosie is a rare individual. Yet, in his day to day work and in his book and this Tedx Talk, he asks us to join him, not in his journey, but in our own passion/vocation.

What an incredible talk. Shawn says you can't find your life's path in a book or online, but when he talks, I feel like my path is right in front of me.

Thank you for this talk. I have just retired from a stressful automotive industry profession, and am continuing on in my vocation of spiritual direction which was what burned in my heart. I am reminded of this quote from Protestant minister Frederick Buechner: Vocation is the place where our deep gladness meets the world's deep need.

Sounds like your pain is coming through, can you go to the place it hurts, go there, and use it to help others who need your good words?

@@floozyify we're all in pain in a world that is an empty vessel who would I help? When I destroy my enemies and see them laying in a wasteland of despair, I smile.
@floozyify2 жыл бұрын
@@franzhaas5597 well that'll work, I know make something that needs protecting, your enemy, like the 36000 whales that are destroyed each year, and "lay those enemies to waste" or something like that.😳
