I have no idea of what it is to be Robert. The best truth I know is from Jesus words when asked by a disciple which laws should be followed . Apparently He replied : "We are Jews , so we follow the Jewish Law , but if you but follow these two things I tell you -all else is covered : Love God with all your heart , soul , and strength , and Love others as if they are your self ." (my paraphrase) . When I was 23 I read a book on Hopi Indian medicine plants as understood by the shamans . It told me that psilocybin is a medicine for contacting God . Some months later , out of the blue , a friend gave me a small handful of dried psilocybin mushrooms . For some reason I put it in a sandwich and ate it . 20 minutes later I began to feel disoriented and regretted my decision but something told me to tough it out. I was in a peaceful rural setting with friends who I lived there with . Night had fallen . I sat in the forest for sometime not far from the others , just watching the scene . Something inspired me to be fully present , and at times I began to ask for more clarity - more information. This information arrived , seemingly through the crown of my head . I became joyful , relieved of psychodramas , a feeling of utter redemption filled my heart. As this continued , I laughed , cried with relief , and became aware of Light flooding through my crown . As I relaxed in this Light I felt an indescribable Love . I became aware of this Light being filled with symbols I didn't understand - like hierolglyphics , geometric shapes , maybe Sanskrit symbols etc. As this continued and I went deeper and deeper , I became aware of the source of this Loving , Living Light. I felt it to be God . I asked a question of this Source of All things and was inwardly answered immediately. (I won't share that but suffice it to say that this answer filled me with indescribable joy , and I felt the Light pouring through me ). This experience was entirely beyond anything in my experience or imagination. Decades later I still cannot explain it as anything other than as described .How simply wonderful........ GOD IS LOVE .

I don’t think there is any way for a human to speak directly about awakening without appearing to know something that others don’t , or appearing to have something others don’t have . I will say that R.S’s books punched me right in the face this time . I heard so much . I read his book in the past and it was different this time . He does help with his talks and books
