I was faffing about at the camp like you do and the weather was spot on. The moment I arrived at the burn, which was about 1pm, the clouds descended and it rained all day and night thereafter 🌧😮

Hi Darren, i find it quite mesmerising watching you panning for gold, I love the colours of some of the rocks, nature is really beautiful when we take time out to look, much more interesting than some channels, apart from flying down hill at 40mph. on your handle bars 😅 any closer to that wedding band yet? 😊
@MrDazP1adv3ntures4 ай бұрын
Hello Bernice, I hope you are well and thank you once again for the lovely comments. There's something very special about seeing gold in the pan in it's raw state. It makes you realise why people have searched for it for thousands of years. It's very alluring. I might be getting close to having enough AU now to make a wee ring. I know another gold panner who had some stunning rings made from their findings. The pictures of the ring made you go "Wow"

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Hi again, I used to love walking in the rain, even singing in the rain with my best friend and husband on many occasion, obviously no longer reaching the grand age of 85 on Sunday, now I’m really an old creaking gate, just imagine designing a wedding ring from gold you found that would be a dream come true, a hobby of mine used to be collecting unusual stones and painting designs on them and varnishing them to bring out the jewel like colours, then give them to my friends as paper weights, there were no iPads and iPhones when I was a teenager, we made our own hobbies, they were the good old days I reckon, never happier than painting and sketching and all things creative:). have a good day Darren, see you on the road 🚴♂ sometime! 😊

Many happy returns on your birthday. That's a proper good age Bernice and it's heart warming to hear you talk about your husband. As a kid we all used to go out playing army, knock a door run, garden creeping, climbing trees, and building Dens. Great times. I know we all have to grow old but I still think we are kids deep down.🙂

The campsite at Tyndrum allows you to pan in the river beside it and there is some great gold to be found up there, it's just a log drive ! Leadhills and the surrouding areas are pretty good but have hammered. There's still good gold to be found though.
