This looks like such a fun trip for you guys! I want to comment and admire the colossal amount of dedication and production you created of this journey for all fellow T enthusiasts to enjoy! With 4.3k views currently- and counting, I'm so pleased with the fascination these arachnids are bringing to the community, and it's because of YOU. Most people can't visit Peru and experience this themselves, let alone with an emphasis on local arachnids. This collaboration with you all like-minded folks is such a monumental moment for a not-so-admired hobby. F*** the Reddit mods- your choreography, professionalism, and attention to detail justly makes Tarantula Collective an arachnid ambassador, in my opinion.

@@tarantulacollective Tarantula subreddits really dampened the experience for me when I began my arachnid journey, and they hate on a lot of content creators for simply creating content their mods don't agree with. There's definitely some nasty people in those communities, so it's relieving to see the Tarantula Collective community so supportive and welcoming of all people. Wherever the journey takes us, we're ultimately in this bus together.

Hi Everyone, got my 1st turantula (Chaco golden Knee), we recently placed it in a larger enclosure and after a very hungry week (4 crickets in 7 days) it’s barricaded itself under a shell we placed in with it. I’m assuming it’s for a molt, but am nervous as to whether it has enough room to do so. Should I look under the shell and check on it?

@@tarantulacollective I have pet guinea pigs, and I am weirdly quite glad that they were domesticated to be raised for food, because that has a lot to do with why they make great pets. Their entirely wild counterparts are quite different from domesticated guinea pigs in a *lot* of ways after millenia of domestication. The domesticated version even makes adorable little vocalizations that the wild cavy does not. (I quite love their cute little wheeks.) *With that said, my ONE rule with food is that I won't eat something that I've had as a pet and named, so they're not on the menu for me, personally, but I'm not going to begrudge anyone else a meal.
