In today's episode we are sharing our first little adventure with our baby: we visited the third largest island in Italy, a paradise on Earth: Elba Island!
Elba is the biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago and the third largest in Italy after Sardinia and Sicily. Together with eight other islands, including Giglio, Giannutri and Montecristo, it is part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, the largest marine park in Europe.
The island of Elba is famous around the world for harboring French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile. But its history goes back to prehistory, with the Ilvati tribe from Liguria who named the island Ilva. It was then inhabited first by the Etruscans and later by the Romans, who really appreciated the island and its rich deposits of iron and its mud baths.

I love the color of the water around Elba Island-so many incredible shades of blue. Beautiful! Luce seemed to like it there to, She is such a happy baby. My first grand-baby girl was also born on May 23! She just turned 8 years old this year, Rosemary . But seems like she was just born ... time passes so fast!!!! Long days, and sometimes, long weeks. But, the months and the years, pass so very quickly! Enjoy your beautiful time at the sea! It is absolutely beautiful where you are. Elba ..I am going to look for it on a map. Is gorgeous, clear blue water. Thank you so much for bringing us along with you, I love all the different seas around the coastlines of Italy, and all of the beaches, they are truly fantastic!! I remember when you brought us with you to the Ionian Sea, wow! The water was amazing, and near Sicily, and another place where we went through the caves, and so, so, so many spots. I think Italy must be the most beautiful country in the world, I love all the history, and all the food, and the architecture, and I SO admire the attention to detail, and the “old ways, and the “professional craftsmanship”, and designs, and creations, from the clothing, to the ceramics,to the food preparation, and the arts, alll of them,including the music, the sculptures, the paintings, and the fashion and the autos. Everything is made with so much, intention & attention. And, I think this is beautiful Italy is truly inspirational and full of emotion and love. I also love, love, love the ocean, and was always fearless, but I also got stung by a jellyfish, when I was a little girl, and, I always check, walk up and down the edge of the water, and if I see many jellyfish on the sand, I am now more fearful of entering. But, I try not to let it stop me., too much. Is really too bad, because the ocean has always been my favorite, element of nature, from when I was a vary little girl of 3 yrs old, we started going every summer, and staying for 1 month, in Florida. And, I spent all my time , either in the ocean or in the swimming pool; from when I woke, until very late at night, only coming out, to eat and to sleep. I hope, ... I believe that Luce will love the sea and the beaches, just like her mommy and daddy!! and, Nonno!! (Sp? Nono or, nonno??) 😊 Blessings🙏🌴😎👓🐠🐚☀️🌊🌊🌊🏄‍♀️🌴☀️🏊🏼‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🏄‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️🏖💕💜❤️🇮🇹🥰👶🌟💫
