A few notes (if anyone cares): - the PC version of Generations DOESN'T come with an unlockable Sonic 1... but it does let you have the pre-order DLC with the Casino Night Zone pinball stage - the 8-bit Sonic games were technically developed with Game Gear specs in mind, though because the Game Gear and Master System were essentially cut from the same cloth (the Game Gear is just a portable Master System, except it can display more colors than the Master System), all Game Gear games technically started their development as (more or less) Master System games before having everything adjusted for the Game Gear and the only reason the Master System versions of those games even exist to begin with is because the console was still selling well in Europe and Brazil (all Sonic games on SMS were released only in those regions as the Master System was already a dead console in Japan and North America, even Sonic 1 despite being the last Master System game released in the US is technically just the European release with a new UPC sticker slapped on top of it) and the Master System ports were simply just byproducts of the Game Gear games during development that could've been easily put together - Carbuncle was renamed to Has Bean in Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - the Wisps were actually given an explanation for sticking around on Sonic's world - some of them went back to their home planet but others liked Sonic's world so much they decided to stay with Sonic - at least that's what we got from Sonic Runners, the mobile game Sonic Team developed that later got discontinued - did you know that Sonic Genesis is actually a port of the 2005 i-mode/Java port of Sonic 1?

If you have the game, go to GHZ act 2 and just stop instantly, and then start running WITHOUT the boost. you'll see what i mean - the energy of the song picks up. drums get faster and the bassline changes. i think this miiight only be for sky sanctuary and green hill but it does still change. also, on youtube, there's two versions of the song: normal, and fast. i'd link them here but i'm pretty sure comments with links get shadow deleted so...

I think when it comes to Sonic 2 VS Sonic generations, and which is more important, it would probably be Sonic 2 yeah, but genuinely though it's close. Sonic Generations basically saved the Sonic series for a decade, with it being the only game during the meta era worth playing that whole time. If Generations wasn't released, we'd just have mediocre game after mediocre game with no hope in sight.

How can someone who claims to be “America’s Gaming Nerd” respond, when asked about Sonic Advance, say: I didn’t play that one. It is absolutely clear to me the aim of this recording was simple: PUSH SCOTT’s AGENDA. And that agenda is clear as day: Sonic 2 was released on a Tuesday. Now, what financial stake Scott has in this game, I do not know, but it’s clear he is hell bent on pushing this narrative.
