I agree, the sketchier the site is the better the food. Best Mexican I ever had was just north of Houston one day when we were forced off the Interstate. Driving the side roads to bypass the accident, I saw a line of Mexican day laborers in line, for a literal, I kid you not, hole in the wall. I pulled over immediately. My girlfriend at the time was all afraid, yadda yadda its not safe, blah blah bah. I knew no one was gonna mess with the line. And I knew if these guys were lined up to pay for food, rather than bringing from home. IT WAS GONNA BE GOOD. Spoilers, it was. Could never find the site again. So sad.

For real. My jaw dropped when I saw that 3-wheeler. I remember back when they were banned, or so I was told as a boy in the '80s. I never got to ride one but I did get to ride my uncle's Honda Fourtrax 250 4wheeler with the bald tires. That 4-wheeler was indestructible.

Casey, about those electric pickups at the beginning... check out your neighbors in idaho Grind Hard Pluming Co. they're building up one of the van versions right now. Upgraded 48v drivetrain (i think on voltage) and rear long travel suspension is done. They still need to do the front.

Reitnouer are great trailers! I used to have several spread axle 48s. Warning...if you load lumber or pipe even at max weight it will not take the arch out of the trailer and items loaded on front or back can try to walk off the trailer due to vibration. You need to put 4X4s on front and rear with 2X4s in center for supports.

I watch another channel (Diesel Creek) where he regularly goes to the local auction, which is very near his home. Does a side gig buying job lots, keeping what he needs and on sells the rest. The walk arounds are great looking at things you have never seen or considered they existed and fully knowing you will never buy anything.

So I was able to start operating a rollback some years back. I seriously loved every aspect of running it except when you smash fingers, you REALLY smash fingers... I worked part time at the mechanic shop and full time towing for the same company side of that shop.. When I was at work they directed all tow calls to my phone. I used his truck, fuel, and all and he paid me a percentage of each tow. You don't need a dispatcher, you just need someone with enough common sense to take the next call, keep track of miles, and not need their hand held.

Exactly right... Where I use to live was a mexican take out restaurant in the basement of a downtown building. But you could only get there from the back alley. BEST mexican food by far. Word of mouth advertising kept them very busy.

I like the super 10, 13 and 15 speeds the ability to split gears with them makes hauling various load weights easier to deal with on hills

the round floor on the dump truck always made it hard to keep clean. around here, we deal with a lot of clay and it always sticks in the bottom of the box. You put your box half way up and back up to the excavator and get him to scrape it out. The round floor usually had tooth gouges and holes ripped in it from less than stellar operators. They usually are higher center of gravity as well.
