This video looks at the speech of Aristophanes from Plato’s dialogue, The Symposium. The speech is more of a story telling the origins of human beings as interconnected beings who are later cut in half. Love then might be seen as that search for your other half and an attempt at completion. But what might this look like in a practical sense? Should we look at our other half as soul mates? Should our soul mates share similar traits or be different from us in a complimentary way?
