I suspect my story will resonate with you guys. I've watched your videos for years (they're great!) and seen your kids grow up to be young ladies, and I've often thought that I really should try RVing. But the time was never right -- it never is -- and now I've learned I have very advanced Stage 4 prostate cancer. Pretty painful stuff. Trying out the RV lifestyle is no longer an option. So, if anyone reads this, if you're thinking about doing something like RVing . . . just do it. The time will never be "right" and if you put it off, well, sooner or later we all run out of time. At least I can continue to enjoy these videos for awhile and vicariously enjoy the travels of the Nickersons. Thanks for the videos.

Never get tired of glaciers. Walked 100 yards INSIDE one in Switzerland. The Swiss think it's cool to bore a tunnel into a glacier, because they can. Wonderful!

Alaska - just incredible. I'm so glad you (and us) got to see Denali. Wow, it was way higher than those mountains in front of it. Alaska is breathtaking. So, wonderful to get to enjoy it through you guys.

The hammer, axe, meat tenderizer is just smart. Everyone knows when you're living in a camper you need to conserve space. I'll bet that multi tool has other uses too but you just haven't let us in on it yet!

A hammer is any tool that is used for the purpose of pushing, beating or forcing something into its assigned place. Pliers, axe, wood and rocks are a few examples😁

1:45 That axe is actually formally referred to as a rigging axe (we always shortened that to rig ax). Used often by rough framing carpenters. Warning, if you use that to ever drive nails, my personal belief is that the inventors of corrugated head hammers must also own stock in Band-Aid. Do not hit your finger! Also, as always, beautiful footage of Alaska.

Our similar Denali viewing gave me a new appreciation of the translation "The High One." We thought we saw just the peak and later saw the real peak floating high above all the other mountains!

Nice video! Back in the old days to help block road noise in car/truck we would have the dealership add a spray on undercoat of a tar like substance, helped a lot. I think you can still get it done or probably buy it in a can, just mask off any moving parts as this stuff can throw off the balance if you got it on say a drive shaft.

Another great video. Denali is awesome to get a glimpse of. You all managed to record the rig of “Two Tired Teachers” as you passed the Alaska State Fair. Their rig was in a lot by itself, off to the right. They put a special paint job on it. They just found finished Alaska in the summer as well. Safe travels to you all. Happy Holidays!

Just discovered you guys searching Alaska travel plan AND doing so with a Lineage 😊 I took the time to see all other episodes with this new RV. Following your episode with the fridge, I’d like to hear you about specific experience with : black tank management since your are boondocking a lot, bathroom management with 4 !, what about solar panel, battery autonomy with all of you inside, average mileage (saw the 14mpg in mountains, but what about on “normal” ground ? What about driving conditions with high wind you experienced : sway, etc. Electronic Control experience with or without the iPhone app/Wi-Fi on the road ? What about sound proofing in the coach (with parking in/out) or thermal insulation : propane needed ? Well, you see where I’m getting at. Maybe a small side video for the technos among us looking to buy a Lineage ?

The views are wonderful, the rain not so much. Because you're in an RV and my plan is to do it on my Goldwing, that kinda limits the time I can spend up there. My BIL's brother lives in North Pole so I'll have to talk to him for the best months if I go. He and wife drove here to MI on his Harley this past summer but stored it and flew back because the wifey got sunburned in the midwest. I missed him bc he spent most of the time at the family farm in the U.P. and down south at another brother's house. btw, if you watch Amazon for one of the fridge coolers, you can find some low prices. I got one for under 200. I ran it for a day to test and it used only 20% of my 300 watt Lipo battery backup.

Hi ya'll, Jess, Denali in the first nations Koyukon Athabaskan language means " the great one" or " the high one". The name is central to their creation story and is gendar neutral. The Koyoukon Athabaskan indigenous tribe have been in the Alaska for several centuries according to the National Park Service. Yall have a great adventure, happy trails and safe travels!

The Carpenter's Half Hatchet was popular with framers (carpenters who frame houses) years ago. They were well liked in California and became nicknamed as a "Reagan Axe" maybe because Ronald Reagan campaigned with an axe promising to cut taxes.

Talkeetna... stay at a campsite in Talkeetna until you know Denali will be clear... then drive up to Denali. 100% guarantee to see Denali. AND SPLURGE by taking a plane ride out of Talkeetna to see Denali. Two choices: land on a Denali Glacier or fly higher on a fixed wing aircraft. Yes, I have seen it 3x from Michigan

Great cinematography as always. One critique, your sound ( Talking when driving ) is terrible. There must be a microphone out there that can cut or reduce the background noise. Please don’t take this personally ( I’m a subscriber and have enjoyed your channel for 4 years or so ) as I am no expert when it comes to sound! Just my observation.
