Yes I totally agree with you in regards to the quality of Japanese av compared to American, American porn in my opinion is unwatchable, no story, the girls generally look so trashy, covered in tats,piercings and generally unattractive. Tbh it’s more likely she has that accent from her parents, she’s an American but they were Germans (or it could be from the fact that she’s at least trilingual so speaking all those languages produced one, that’s not uncommon even among bilingual people like myself)

It’s kind of weird you say that. I used to work in a company with a lot of co workers who were from India and Pakistan. After a while I started to develop not so much an accent, but the speech patterns and cadence that they used 😂

This is really interesting. I've noticed that the Japanese side does a LOT of foreplay while most western does not do much. But I am curious about what do they not like about Western fetishes or parts.

I suspect one of the things is the moans. A lot of Westerners can't get into JAV because of the moans and I imagine a lot of Japanese people can't get into Western porn because of the moans. Not to mention, a lot of the women in Western porn are what you'd expect to find in a more niche Japanese genre (e.g. lots of tats, piercings, women that look more trashy with tons of makeup, super muscular guy, etc.) rather than something more mainstream (e.g. more slender, more feminine, more natural makeup, etc.) There's also lots of little differences like different lighting -- Western lighting tends to be really harsh while JAV lighting is much softer, tropes, types of makeup and outfits, and other things like that.

I reckon it's easier finding people who are willing to get interviewed that are open about working within the industry as opposed to people who regret getting into it. There's a big number of people who see the problems with the industry and those voices should be represented too.

Yes! I totally agree. Recently I have been interviewing people in the JAV industry and I would say Mishima Natsuko talks the most about the negative aspects for her. I/Nobita need to find people who have left the industry and are more open to talking about it. Also, if you joined within 2-3 years you are only going to have good experiences for the most part, but those who have been in 10 years or so will have those “bad” stories. I interviewed Yuto Kuroda (JAV male actor) and he shared a few with me. Women are typically unwilling to share because they are afraid of being told, “well you shouldn’t have gone into porn” rather than validated for the violence they experienced.

Yes agree with point that too much sugar is bad for you so porn might be the same, but porn is definitely not the only reason affecting relationships in Japan, it’s the society itself: This is oversimplified but: People are “forced” to do overtime (emphasis on the “ “) -> stressed -> tired -> busy -> less time to have a social life and go on dates -> more stress -> suicide /less relationships/less couples/less babies being born

You have to, if you want to succeed there in Japan, in any industry. My little brother majored in Japanese in San Diego State and went right over to Japan to teach Japanese kids, after graduating from college; has been there over 10 years and he's more Japanese (including those big, ugly Japanese tattoos) than American, even though he was born & raised in southern California. And because he's also Asian (though not Japanese), if you didn't know him ahead of time, you won't be able to tell him apart from the Japanese locals, even if you're a Japanese.

I’ve heard it suggested and flat out said several times that it’s culturally normal in Japan for dudes to casually call slightly chubby or even relatively normal bmi girls (like the one in this video) fat in public. Great interview - June tells it like it is and is completely rational and grounded. I doubt what she says will impact what people think, because most people are too mentally weak to break their cultural programming, but she's a great advocate and speaker on the topic nonetheless. I also agree with a lot of her opinions about Western vs Japanese porn. Japan and Western countries both have a lot of terrible, ultimately not sexy porn , but Japan's porn industry overall is clearly WAY better for a variety of reasons. For example, at least in Japan, the actors and actresses don't mostly look like crap. The people in Western porn more often than not have ugly tattoos and piercings, and half of the women look and act way too masculine. Japanese porn actresses for the most part on the other hand actually look like women and still look feminine.

@@lordtraxroy I have seen enough German and Eastern European porn to know that, overall, it's not as good as Japan's either. German porn is too much like American porn. Russian porn seems a little better than German porn, but it still isn't that great either. Japan's porn, even with the problems it has, is still currently the best in the world. Japan by the way also currently has the best music scene and the best dining scene in the world too. So, even though Japan has a lot of problems, they are the best with several of the most important things that make life worth living. All I can say is, well done Japan.

Unfortunately no. I reported only USA one to police, but they didn’t do anything. I didn’t report the Japanese one, but on other occasions where I’ve been sexually assaulted or attacked (not r*pe) in Japan and reported to the police they were really supportive and came to my house often to check on me/bring food. For one instance they collected DNA and had the guy on security camera, but never caught him.
