You have been busy. I really like your railroad quilt. Great job keeping that quilt in motion. Your scraps are sewing up nicely. Happy quilting over the weekend.

Thank you for the stash and scrap buster quilts. I have a use stash only and no buy 2025, so you are helping me out. I am saving my fabric budget for other things this year.

Another great, inspirational video regarding scrap busting! While it was so cold here in the Houston area I cleared out my sewing room, bagging up all my scraps and old fabric. I’m not a scrappy type person mainly because I doubt myself when I try to put scraps together. I’m thinking of trying out a small table topper size rendition of your quilt with the dogs on the back. Since you mentioned The Quilted Forest I decided to check her out and was amazed at what she makes with scraps. Now to go back and dig out all the scraps to make this quilt!

My scrap projects always turn out the best if I don’t think about it. It’s hard, though. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with the black accent fabric.

Genius idea to use a paper towel holder for the 2.5 inch scrap rolls! You are so inspirational to me because you complete things and come up with great ideas for using what you have! I fell off the no buy January because I'm at Road to California, but I've been very restraint in what I'm buying 😉

You are making fantastic progress on so many things! I loved Shelley's idea of using the ribbon spools for her 2 1/2 inch strips, but yours is fabulous, too. My next project is a jelly roll race quilt, but I wasn't sure it would be as big as I wanted. I may use this technique to make it a hair bigger. As always, LOVE the viewer quilts - so many talented folks!

Love your Friday videos. The paper towel holder for winding and storing the scrapoy rolls is genius. And I have a spare holder I use only for summertime parties. Love seeing the viewers quilts, especially the scrappy challenge quilts and your quilts too. Happy way to start a Friday.

I organized my sewing area last weekend. I can now see what is started (mainly block of the month), what is just needing a final push (finding a backing, doing the binding, etc), and a quick review of what I want to do this year. I also put several projects out of sight that I'm just not interested in working on any more - maybe later - I just didn't need them staring at me!

By all means, you should finish your second Minky for Mark. I’m sure he has plenty of quilts, but if he likes the minke and so do you, I think it’s great that you can provide it and I’m sure he would really appreciate it. I so enjoy your channel and try to never miss an episode. Lately I have been having lunch with my tablet and you. I am still organizing fabrics and finishing small projects, so have not been able to start any stash busters yet but as soon as I get everything the way I want it I’m going to dive in deep To finish the stash Buster’s. You are a great inspiration.❤ P.S. I don’t use Facebook, so probably won’t be able to post any of my finished projects, but I do enjoy seeing everyone else’s. Again,❤❤❤

Oooh neat idea on storage! I saw your video on Weds and was excited because I had already started in on that one - was glad to see another take on it. I ordered 20 yrds of zipper tape from Wawak a couple weeks ago - was so excited when it came on a spool - I was like "yes - I have a spool" - but the paper towel holder is a great idea too and I may use that instead of unwinding my zippers lol. I've been thinking the rolled 2.5 strips could make great rugs too.

I will always have 2.5 inch strips because I can use them to make projects as they are or cut them down into 2.5 inch squares. I seem to use a lot of those in my sewing. I can’t wait to try some of your stash buster patterns. I have tons of strips and charm packs. 😊

Great finishes! Is that Riley Blake quilt along free? Could you please add a link in the description box? Your scrap buster quilt is a good size to donate to foster care if you decide not to do an auction. They are often looking for slightly larger quilts for the teenagers in foster care.
