As a, now retired, maintenance and repair machinist it was nice to see you “break out” your digital caliper to correct the cable perch, instead of just taking a guess at a drill size to open up the hole. Knowing good and well… “there is more than one way to skin a cat”, I think I would have taken a file to the aluminum lever, instead of grinding on the chrome, to correct the fitment. As usually, it was nice to watch how you approached the other fitment issues, especially with the exhaust. Long-story-short… this bike looks “stunning” !!… especially knowing from what condition it started from!

I had the $600 part right, but forgot to add $1k; to my estimate, as to how much you spent on the bike. 😂 I’m looking forward to seeing your ideas, for taking the bike to the next level. 💯 I’m Truly Impressed, how well the bike came out. 👍💯

I been wondering what clear coat you used and where did you get your cable set from

I've been told that SoCal Mintrail is the same person who used to run the DRCT70 page on Ebay if that tells you anything.
@MiniBikeMike
@MiniBikeMike Жыл бұрын
Not the same guy. I can’t think of the original guys name that ran that eBay site, but they’re not the same guy. I think that I did hear that Troy (SoCal) did buy his eBay site and business. For what it’s worth, I bought parts from that eBay seller for years, and I mean years, and never had the first problem with him. But, unlike others, I understood the quality I was purchasing and how he ran his store.

First of all your knowledge on these bikes is amazing. Quick question I installed 12v wiring harness from trail buddy with there 12v bucket and light kit. It’s all hooked up and the bike turns over. Horn works. With lights on low beams the light works and speedo is lighted. When I put it to high beams the speed light goes out and I have no head light. Any suggestions?
@MiniBikeMike
@MiniBikeMike Жыл бұрын
The Hi/Lo switch only has three wires: One for power INTO the switch. (Usually brown/red wire) One for power out to the Lo beam wire on headlight. (Usually white wire) One for power out to the Hi beam wire on the headlight. (Usually blue wire) If the headlight goes out when you switch to Hi beam, either the Hi beam filament is burnt out or the wiring is incorrect. Because the speedo light also goes out, it sounds like the Hi/Lo switch is wired as an on/off switch.
@head7502
@head7502 Жыл бұрын
@@MiniBikeMike thanks for the quick response. I bought the plug and play 12v harness from trail buddy and it’s all plugs rather than having to connect each individual wire. I’ll check to see how the switch is wired.
