When you see how much work goes in to this, then you look at a place like Blenheim Palace, which is not so far from me, and see the wall that goes round that estate, and think what a mammoth task that must have been. Some of those old civil engineering projects, all hand labour, no machines, all those bricks, must have kept an army of brickies busy for their whole lives on one project.

Have you seen actual tuck pointing I'm a bricklayer and I've only seen it on KZbin and never done it this is actually just pointing or re-pointing if he grinded out some of the old brick work tuck pointing is something totally different you can find videos of it and you are not the only person who gets it confused

Только с крышкой косяк, не сделали штробу снизу, да и не пойму.... Если хоть какое-то количество воды попадёт внутрь стены, а оно попадёт из-за неплотности плит, то при первых морозах снизу кладку отстрелит.

its been there 200 years and it took a tree to Destroy it I'm sure its fine (total understand what you mean but it isn't cement mortar). plus strong bricks and lime mortar really helps with frost shattering.

I don't mean to be rude, but the last few videos covering this wall rebuild have been really good, and then this video comes along 3 weeks later and just seems really poorly put together compared to the others. It still looks great, though.

I am going to be doing a full video from start to finish. There have been many things happening away from KZbin also the home owners wife has been very ill so that’s why there’s been a delay.
