The only way you're ever going to get a good paint job in a home enviroment is by treating your paint area like a operating theatre and I'm sorry to say, Sir, your garage is a mess for spraying. This is why you got so much dust, dirt and debris everywhere. It's a shame because materials are very expensive and of course the amount of time it takes to repair . ( I think I heard you say you were 6 days into wet sanding ) with the added risk of further damage like cutting through..!! Better to just produce a fabulous finish from the beginning. It's just my humble opinion. your enviroment has to be IMMACULATE. It's the only way. When it comes to ventilation, you can't just open the doors and let the wind blow through. You have to at least put a fine mesh sheet over the door otherwise everything that blows through will DEFINATELY land on your paint. GARRENTEED, But hope all goes well though.
