Thank you for sharing your beautiful journey. you guys are awesome! I'm from Thailand, we don't have morels mushroom here. I really enjoyed watching your video, any kind of mushroom in every year and every season. I like to see you setting the camp as well. It's not only mushroom harvesting video but it's also mushroom documentary. Hope you guys healthy and I'm looking forward to see your next next next journey 😊

What an incredible adventure that you shared with us all. I can’t imagine all the hard work of filming WHILE you pick morels! Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure. I’m craving cooler weather and morel season here in North Texas as the temperatures crank up to 100°F! I’d say two thumbs up for the movie length video of the entire season. That would be a great watch for newcomers. I hope you’re enjoying summer harvests now guys. Keep it up and I’ll continue watching as always!

Wish I could have filmed more moose. Unfortunately the section of the cassiar hwy that goes through the mountains, which often has a lot of moose, was really hard to find a pullout. Hopefully next time i’ll have a chance to capture some moose footage using the drone!

Hi guys, I just want to say hello, and how much I enjoyed the season following your adventures. I pick, morels chanterelles, porcini and hedgehogs in Prince George. Not sure how your 2024 Season is going, my brother is doing well in Fraser Lake as him and his wife have been picking upwards of 135 pounds a day. Here is my offer, if you pass through Prince George on the way home or heading back for Pines, I am happy to host you guys for dinner and a good coffee espresso or cappuccino. Lots of room on the front yard for tents and a safe place to park on your travels. So if you can make PG work your welcome here. Thanks for taking us all on your trips!

It's a beautiful drive! The most scenic part of the drive is going through the mountains, which I couldn't film much from the road because it was getting dark. You may just have to see them for yourself some day! 😁

i love these videos, i saw you on just alex video and you replied to a comment of mine, so i decided to check out your channel and i have to say these are quality and im happy someone is showing my home the way it really should be shown in its true natural ways. ive shipped loads and loads of mushrooms, but ive been interested in picking them im just not sure how to start doing that lol. some of the guys i ship for told me some people get defensive and sometimes fight over land plots with good mushrooms and id hate to step on peoples toes.. also my biggest question is, as a single guy living in bc with really low monthly bills, can it be something to live off of?
@northernwildharvest4 ай бұрын
Hey David, the fighting over patches usually happens with mushrooms that grow in the same spot every year. With burn morels it’s a one season deal in that spot, usually. Our videos release well after the morel season finishes so we are able to show what we do without someone finding “our patches.” Wild harvesting at scale often has high expenses. Vehicle and gear wear and tear, fuel costs, no coverage etc so it’s often a gamble. That said, on a good year if you work hard it can be decent money but it is hard earned every step of the way. If you knew the actual field price of morels in the burn, compared to what you see them selling for retail you might be surprised (1/10th the value sometimes.) If you decide to try it out and you have some success, send me an email if you want to do business. Northernwildharvest@gmail.com Best of luck!

Question - why the tarps over the tents. Was this an extra layer of rain protection, or was it for shade for better sleeping / cooler sleeping? Also what created those distinctive lines of soil / rocks / materials. Was it natural? Or man made? And what process(es) created them? I've never seen anything like it, so very confused.
@northernwildharvest6 ай бұрын
Tarps are to keep out rain and having the extra layer of tarp will catch a lot of the morning dew and keep it off the tent. Also provides shade and UV protection for the tent. As far as I know those gravel bars are man made. likely prospecting related considering where our camp was and how the gravel was processed.
