Just a little advice: When you set out your plants loosen (tickle) the roots a little so that they will spread into the new soil quicker. Some of those plants had very tight roots that needed a lot of tickling.😅Your garden is beautiful and your kitties are so entertaining!

I legit spit my coffee out when you said kiss somebody on the lips 😂 at least it wasn’t on the iPad 😅 I just now got a chance to watch this and once again it was perfect timing. Your videos are so motivating to me as a stay at home mom. You remind me how lucky I am to be able to do things like piddle in the garden, which wouldn’t have been an option when I was working in the service industry. You also remind me how cool it is to be “just a girl” not mommy or even Amanda, but a girl who loves flowers and nature and has intense emotions which need comfort and beauty to regulate, that in itself is so beautiful, it feels like true sisterhood, and I cherish that ❤

It’s been in the 90s for the past two weeks and only had one quick rain shower since May. The heat is making all of the flowers a bit sad! I am sorry you can’t have a garden outside but I hope you have a couple lil indoor plants to keep ya company!🪴🪴

I’m also in Texas so it can be a struggle. My hanging petunias hold up really well in the heat though. I water everyday & give them plant food once per week. I also make sure they get sun from morning to 2 pm & then they are shaded during the worst part of the day.

Watching this video and shouting at my computer knowing I'm too late. Don't spray that toxic mixture anywhere you want plants to grow. When you start to see poor plant development there, know that the only solution is to dig out all that soil poisoned with vinegar and salt. If you want to inhibit crab grass and other weeds, lay down a layer of straw. It is natural and will decompose eventually and contribute to the soil. Straw is cheap, and safe. All the best, from a fellow gardener.

Have no fear, the vinegar did not work at all and it appears the soil is as good as it’s ever been. The crab grass is rapidly growing and thriving😅 I’ll try the straw method out, thanks!

Don’t pull the crabgrass!! It’ll come back ten fold. The only thing we’ve found to work is a crabgrass specific pesticide which is unfortunately not very natural. We’ve only ever used it in the lawn though, not the garden, so not sure how it plays with flowers.

Pouring boiling water over weeds will cook them but not ruin the soil. This will also work with ants.
