Thats something the game should be more accurate about. The only way to find out about the keycard is by finding a random picture at the ass of some old cave lol. And once you know there is a keycard, you probably are already at the door RIP And then, even with the picture you dont get to know which cave has the keycard, so you gotta search every cave or watch a 2 min vid. What did we learn: "If you play first you wont get spoilers, but a pain in the ass" - Probably master ogway

I love this game because you could play for like 50 hours without even realising there was an ending. You can end up going through a cave into the sinkhole and coming across the vault door completely by accident. And chances are if you’ve played for that long you’d have the keycard. So you could finish the game without even realising

I always come back to this vid a couple times a year. I remember back when I started playing the forest when it released on ps4, I was terrible and terrified at it. I started watching Farket, and eventually it started feeling like I was as good as him (which i’m not and never will be lol). When I started playing this game a few weeks ago I was wondering how to continue the storyline; last night I finally get into the sinkhole while exploring caves and I take the bait and jump into the sinkhole cave thinking maybe there was a way out without having to go through the nightmarish cave that brought me there in the first place because I'm a coward lol then I keep pushing in deeper and deeper and I'm like "hmmm maybe this isn't a way out after all lol" and behold! Suddenly I'm inside a modern facility that has a creepier vibe than all the other caves I had previously explored and I'm almost pooping my pants :C and all the while, not a single save point and I didn't wanna go through it all again xD so I ended up finishing the game one painfully scary, sneaky step at a time without even planning it hahaha it was a good game :'D I gotta do it all over again sometime. There's a story: The final boss is Megan Cross, or Mutant Megan. Matthew Cross is the one who takes Timmy from where the plane crashes. I very much agree that Megan and Matthew are related to each other. Edit: I think since Matthew killed Timmy (unless you get the Creative Mode ending), you killed Matthew's child, Megan Cross. I think the player and Matthew Cross have some type of bad thing against each other. This is for story, not survival tips.

I just followed this guide on the PS4 on 09-07-20 and it works perfectly. Even the save before the boss to see both endings. The orb makes building a whole shit ton easier, and even has makes the enemies timid when in caves. Great guide, and thanks for all your other tips and guides too! Great work.

It is a speedrun. There's a bunch of different types. The glitch speed runs are any%. There's also 100% which gets everything in game, and no glitch runs which are... no glitch. So this is basically just a no glitch speedrun + vegan achievement.

You can keep the rebreather light on if right when you jump out of the water you access your inventory the light will stay on. Super useful for dark places. Such a good game my first play through i did everything alone without having any data or using the internet... Was awesome. Edit: i had no idea that unlocks creative mode

TL;DR old alien technology is used by a mourning father to crash your plane in order to abduct your son to resurrect man's daughter, daughter turns into a mutant and kills father, you go to rescue your son but realize that in order to resurrect someone, a live specimen is required. At the end you have a choice of repeating the actions of the mourning father or choose to leave your son dead.

3:02 It could still be called a speedrun, actually! There's Any% runs, which is just finishing the game in the fastest amount of time possible by any means. A "run" like this would be Any% Glitchless. Where you still finish the game as quickly as you can (ignoring collectibles and most unnecessary items), just without glitches.
