Fins & Spinout! The Board-Meeting Series!

I genuinely thought I had it all figured with spin out. Until I put into practice the ‘scissor kick’ move today - just get the nose in front of the tail. It works SO well! I was always just trying to ‘pull’ the fin out with my rear foot, but not really doing anything with the front foot, resulting in some absolutely huge out of control spin outs. Sliding sideways for well over 100m directly *towards* the Vass saftey boat earlier this summer was a particularly exciting point. Totally cured now.. Cheers!

It would be neat to see you reproduce a spinout and show the recovery. I suffer from this and need to improve my technique. I usually focus on going downwind temporarily when my board goes sideways, but it takes a lot of physical effort. Love your videos. Thanks for all you do.
