good but how about fire damper in exhaust duct in kitchen ?

Not a good idea, as grease will gather on the dampers creating a potential point of fire. Kitchen exhaust ducts are protected in many ways such as rated shafts, fire suppression systems, etc. You don't want anything in the path of the grease to create a point where the grease will collect in the duct system. Always check with the local code authority for the requirements.
