One thing I really like about notifier is just how fast everything operates. It’s almost as fast to trip as the panel it replaced despite being software based. Plus, reset is almost instantaneous if you don’t count the initialization process.

NFS-320, 3:20 long video, what a coincidence! Hopefully when you do a NFS2-640 fire drill video make it a 6:40 long video and a NFS2-3030 video system verification a 30:30 long video lol

VIDEO IDEA: How to wire a conventional smoke detector and alarm without a panel. I know you have a video on doing it with a pull station but it seems like a smoke detector might be a little more complex.

@@connorcosgrove2240 not something you should be doing the system was verified to meet a decibel requirement, and we checked off the verification with ambient and alarm decibel readings, reducing volume could impact volume in classrooms

I am still in school doing my first year electrical with the school district and it's the electrical department that does the fire drills so I took a video as this was a system replacement we had recently done

Hey this is the system you just replaced…looks good, sounds good and best of all the new annunciator looks perfect in that vintage Edwards cabinet. I’m guessing of course the Durabel that was across from it is in your collection now.

I know it's totally not your decision but the dark room in the school gives me an idea. If fire alarm activation forced the emergency lighting on it could improve egress. Do you have any idea if this is ever required?

That is something that is done in theatres sometimes and spaces that are likely to be occupied when dark however most spaces will not be dark when they are occupied
