You don't have to. I choose to because unmarked vehicles can be cloned based off their numberplate, and used in organised crime.

Both are acceptable, but fire engines is the preferred term used in Britain to describe a standard water pumping fire appliance. How-ever I use the term fire truck(s) when making compilations as often I may not only have filmed a water pumping engine fire appliance, but also another fire appliance that isn't an engine pump, such as a turntable ladder or urban search and rescue. And now 'Police, Ambulances & Fire Trucks responding' has become a sort of recognised name for my end of month videos, so I have kept it that way. Thanks for watching.
