Hi Ernie. Long time subscriber here. Your videos are great and there is no issue with quality for me. Really appreciate your videos. I remember when you had a break and I was worried that you were not coming back. Just make them when you are happy to do so and don’t worry. We all love you!

A larger rectangular pot ( thinking of a British or Australian pattern dixie type mess tin) with 500ml of water, shallower than you had, might produce the boil time advertised.

Boiling 500 ml using 2.6 grams of fuel makes it 132% fuel efficienct! Buy 2! 13 grams makes it 26% efficiency or about half that of a regular isobutane stove.

Thanks, Ernie. I like that the heater looks like my grandmothers old ceramic gas heater but not sure if I would pack it around for a stove.

Hi Ernie. Thank you for another review. I really enjoy them and I appreciate your non-biased perspective. I saw Luke's review and, like you, he found the cover grate annoying! All the best to you. BTW, I subscribed a while back. You put out some good content :)

Interesting item, Ernie -- thanks for presenting it! I just picked up a small dedicated heater with the ceramic element, plus another butane stove using the same cannisters. Although it's two separate pieces of gear, each one performs the specific task very well. And at about $2.25 per 8oz can, the fuel is priced right! But it isn't a grand slam for the home team, since the stove grate also has the same design as your sample . . . Still, if space was a very high priority and usage not too high and/or secondary methods available, this would be something to take a closer look at. (I'll be looking into something similar in function to a c-clip but easier to deploy on the underside of the grate posts.)

You could probably bend the legs that hold the grill on slightly to make it stay on better, but it would of course be better if it stayed on out of the box.

Thank you for posting this. I love seeing new innovative products. I like the idea that this stove can be used as a heater, but where can you use it where you don't risk asphyxiation? How long will it burn on a canister of butane? If can only be used outdoors, I'll use a gasifier wood stove or a fire for heat.

Ernie I hate to be snarky here, but to complain that a ceramic heater is slow to cool off is a tad ingenuous. OF COURSE it is going to retain heat for a long time. Why would you expect it to be otherwise.

If I had one, I would get the protective cover welded on. I can't think of a reason to want to take it off. No plans to get one. It's slow as a stove, and if I wanted a space heater for hunting or camping, there are small propane models not too much bigger than thus that are better heaters.

I would use a cutting disc on a Dremel to cut little notches to lock the grille in place. A file or a narrow hack saw would work too. Of course they SHOULD do it from the factory but it seems the Chinese just must leave at least one stupid, easily fixable flaw in every product they make, no matter how good the overall design.

Sadly any unit built for butane loses 30% of it's performance when retrofitted to use propane. Unless you can change the orifice to a larger hole.

It makes pretty video. That is the only PRO I can think of. How long will it heat what size space on one canister of fuel? 4 minutes to boil 1/2 liter is not that impressive. Not for me.

Meh. What happens when you're cooking and drop schmoop down into the ceramic plate orifices? 🤔 I'd rather use one of those stainless steel cylindrical diffusers that fit on your stove tripod and also provide a small surface to set a pot on to boil water!

I would be worried about carbon monoxide build up inside a tent. If used inside a hide with lots of fresh air coming through, how effective would it be? Would it not be better to wear an extra clothing layer? Lastly, I don't like buying goods made in China, I'd rather support our own domestic manufacturers.

Looks like another overpriced, over-hyped piece of Chinese garbage. For that price you can get a better stove/heater and have money left over to buy some pans to cook with
