Fire test small parts tray storage

Small parts tray storages (KLT) made of propylene pose a high risk in case of fire. The plastic material is highly inflammable and burns drippy so fires can spread easily. The video shows the fire behaviour of the small parts tray storages under normal environmental conditions (20.9 vol % oxygen) in contrast to a protective atmosphere. WAGNER’s active fire prevention system OxyReduct® reduces the oxygen concentration inside the protection area. By doing so the fire behaviour will be reduced distinctively. At a level of 15.7 vol % oxygen the plastic material cannot keep on burning. A fire can neither break out nor sustain itself.
