This is Quite disgusting armed police attacking Helen like this- if she had a weapon pointing at them Yes ok but She had not- the 999 call was obviously someone nearby who didn't like Helen- I've changed my view of the police after watching this shameful incident- Helen I hope you recover from this cruel treatment you received no amount of apology will may the memory go away.

How terrifying for her. Probably thought she was dead when she saw them.

With a press of a button the odd lot can find out anything they need to know about you.

They can find out if anyone at the address holds a licence but the information was that someone had been shot, and no computer will tell them who is currently at the address - so they need to attend and make enquiries. I think their response was proportionate. Where she got her whiplash from having been led by the arm across the drive, is a mystery.

Disgusting behaviour. They only had to check on her

Ok if it was a malicious call stating ' ten rounds have been fired and someone had been shot '. Have the Police interviewd/ arrested the person who made the call?

Clowns with guns who have an overwhelming sense of importance are dangerous.

If they really thought someone with a firearm was on the property, they should have approached it very stealthily, taking cover as much as possible. Should not be grouped up together and standing in the open.

This smacks of swatting to me. Swatting is usually linked to the online gaming community and sites like Twitch. Not blaming her in any way, but does her granddaughter or any of her family members play any online games or do any streaming?. I can see both sides of this, the police were responding to a call that 'ten shots had been fired and someone had been shot'. They had to approach this situation as if there might be an active shooter. They have to respond to this in such a way as to take immediate control of the situation as lives could be at risk. The scary part of this is had anyone else come out of the house holding something innocent that the police might have mistaken for a weapon, they could have been shot. The police need more training on dealing with situations that involve dogs as well. Those saying the dogs were 'poorly trained' are wrong, these dogs were scared and stressed, scared and stressed dogs are dangerous, no matter how well trained they are. Also 8am is fine to make reasonable noise, most workmen start work at 8am. The person who made the 999 call needs to be traced and charged with wasting police time and endangering lives.

Again pathetic approach by our present day police. Obviously this woman was a SERIOUS danger. As a retired policewoman this appauls me.
